"In a Pear Tree" Questions

OK, so I got this stamp set and I love it! 2 questions: What color are partridges, and what exactly is the fruit on the wreath? I've been coloring the bird brown, and the fruit to look like peaches and plums. Any other ideas?

I think they are pears. I've been coloring them yellow and green

Pretty sure partridge's are brown, but I'd take creative license and jazz him up a bit. He is in a pear tree, but the fruit on the wreath looks round so it could be interpreted as just about anything... The card you posted this morning (with the wreath) is lovely - your fruit looks very realistic! Haven't been able to make up my mind about ordering this set (can't have 'em all...darnit!) but your card convinced me!

I really like how you've done the plums, I think it looks so pretty with the purple

colors

One of the reasons why I didn't order this set in the first place is because I didn't know what colors to use! Maybe I'll reconsider buying it now.

Thanks,
Michelle

pear tree

it is a partridge in a pear tree.on the first day of christams.Like the twelve days of christmas.

Partidges are brown.with tan.or a creme color in them.My x husband was a hunter.he used to go bird hunting all the time.

I used to cook them and pheasant in a crock pot in cream of chicken and mushroon gravy.they were better than chicken.
