A friend has offered to sell me this set for $35.00. It is new UM. There would be no shipping or tax. She remembered many conversations we had over this set last fall and how much I coveted it at the time. I still look on ebay occasionally and would never pay $50 to $60 plus for any stamp set. Now I'm really on the fence. Do I really need/want this set? I've looked in the gallery and see many wonderful cards. The set seems very versatile. What do you think? Please help me decide. Thank you, Suzie

Well, as of right now $35 is a good price compared to eBay... but if you wait two weeks, the Bay will probably be flooded with sets from demos and the price will most likely go down... I would "wait and see" if I were you... JMHO.
To elaborate on my answer, I meant to add that your friend will likely still have the set in a few weeks; maybe there will be something you really want out of the new catalogue and can buy the set from your friend later on. I didn't mean to sound flippant-when I re-read it, I thought I sounded flippant...
I'd say if you are asking the question, you are not 100 percent sure about the purchase. New catty in 2 weeks might reveal something you would rather have for $35 smacks.

well, it all depends on how much I actually had to spend to earn that "free" set, but I'd probably let it go for $20 for a friend now that you mention it!

I didn't take it that way at all. I appreciate input!
