Embossing folders are one of my favorite tools for backgrounds and, in fact, was the final push that made me buy a die cut machine. And now I have to look up the Munster's theme song!

You really need to be someone who can handle a lot of little bits. Familial Tremors run in my family and I have managed it quite well since childhood. Coloring, painting, altering objects, creating miniature shadowboxes have always placed me in zen mode where the tremors almost disappear. That is, until the last eight months or so. I can successfully paint and color; however, the rest is too much work for me anymore. Just wanted to give you fair warning about the quantity and size of some dies in the sets. With that all being said, the final results are wonderful. If you are interested, let me know which you care to have and I will pick up the shipping.

Hi Lercy,
Good point about all the small bits and pieces in many die sets. I find it a necessity to use both a "pokey tool" (as many UK crafters call it), or long needle to push out the tiny parts, and glue with a thin nozzle, plus a jewel picker to pick up and adhere all the details to the main shape. Before I had retinal surgery about 7 years ago, I couldn't even see straight lines so die sets with lots of small pieces were a chore, if not impossible for me to handle. That doesn't bother me now because, as my husband likes to say, I'm a person who would excel at picking lint off of sweaters as a profession because I love tedious tasks!
Many manufacturers show beautifully detailed, finished projects, but neglect to explain that it all involves gluing and inlaying tiny bits and pieces. Worth it in the end, but definitely something to know.
So glad that you are able to paint and color though, because your cards are exquisite!

Well, darn, that's what I get for sleeping in and taking a shower before checking my email. Poof-great embossing folders gone. You are so generous with your PIF offerings, Lercy.

Thank you, Karen. If I weren't such a perfectionist in some respects, I would still work with the dies. When I create a 3-D project I like it to be flawless and it especially drives me nuts if any adhesive shows. Recipients always get so up close and look at every detail. Someone like you would immediately spot an oops! It's a wonderful feeling to see my creations placed on display year after year, especially the holiday ones. I can still do detailed paper tole projects, so I'm grateful and happy for that. And it's a good thing I love loose watercolor painting!

That Mechanics folder is a great one too and I was tempted but have one with gears already, so passed. I love industrial and nature themed folders for guy cards. Glad you were able to grab some goodies too.

Yeah, excess glue drives me crazy too, but I'm working on not worrying too much about it. I have a trusty sand eraser by Mono, that removes part of the shine but I always know it's still there. As for the problem of recipients getting up close and seeing the flaws, I've solved that issue by only sending to people with poor eyesight!

Lercy, I am so glad that you still are able to paint and color. I know none of mine turn out perfect, but it is such good therapy! I am glad you still have that outlet for your creativity!

Yep, I'm back with even more items. Looking forward, I came across items I purchased a duplicate of, items given to me that were not a fit for me, items I've used a lot and can't even gather the enthusiasm to use them one more time. I'm sure they all are a fit for someone out there. PM me whatever catches your eye. Shipping is on me.

NO LONGER AVAILABLE -- Thank you for all the interest.

Lercy, my mom would just love Rejoice and Tangled Penguin. She's coming out of nursing rehab next week, and I'd like to get her back into card making. These would definitely inspire her. Thank you for your kindness.

Was chatting earlier about some of the gorgeous cards I've gotten here; just thought I would share a pic of some of the ones I have stored on my bulletin board. It's not all of them, but some of them. I love them all!

I received 3 requests (Karen, Debbie & Chris) for the designer paper pad and I have 3 pads to mail.
So happy to build up my PIF credits by sharing my stash.

I know this PIF exchange is more informal than one of the other PIF threads on SCS. I just like to keep in mind to offer when I receive. It also keeps it interesting to check for fresh items.

Lercy, the fun die sets you mailed arrived today. They should make some interesting Christmas cards. One has a slope shaped piece that I can envision as a snow scape for a variety of scenes. Thank you for your overwhelming generosity in offering so many items of value and quality.
