Default what size paper for a paint can?

What size paper do you use for a gallon paint can? I tried to do a quart and the 12x12 is even too small for that.

Please help!!

I had to use two sheets of paper to wrap around my gallon paint can. I used O'So Sticky tape to tape the seams down. And I made the seams end up under the handle...

Me too, I had to use 2 sheets of paper for my can, and decorated the seams with ribbon.

Here are some great instructions that Marcia (suthnheart) put into a handy pdf file. If you do a search (advanced) in the forums, there are some with measurements, too!
