Default Paper storage

My daughter and her family are in the process of moving to their new home, which has a special hobby room for her stamping/scrapping. I would like to get her a paper storage system, but I haven't really seen anything I like. It can be either wire or plastic, but she doesn't want hanging files or anything like that. She wants it to hold 12 x 12 paper, and she would like 60 slots. Do you have any suggestions that won't break the bank? Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Personally I love having mine vertical. I use the Cropper Hopper paper holders. They hold a TON of paper. Plus now they come in all kinds of sizes so you can get 12x12, 8.5x11, 8x8 and others. The best price I've found for them is www.scrapbooking-warehouse.com

I don't have any successful experience with flat 12x12 paper storage, so can't help you there. I would suggest you look for something that is totally enclosed, as a very common issue folks have with storing paper on wire racks is that their paper gets dusty and fades from exposure to light while it sits waiting to get used. I've seen some very nice custom builds of stand-alone cupboards with doors that have masonite shelves fitted into routed grooves in MDF or wood.

How lucky for your daughter to get a craft room all to herself and to have a mom who wants to help her with it!

I also like vertical file storage, but haven't found any thing other than Cropper Hopper for my 12x12. I am a demo and have accumulated enough 12x12 that I am growing out of it. At one point I considered the storage from www.bestcraftorganizer.com because I have some handy people who could build me the cabinetry and I would just have to buy the drawers and the shelves, but it is still pricey. Search SCS with card stock storage or paper storage as your keyword. There are a lot of ideas out there. Also check out stampin' spaces in the gallery to see photos of how others organize.

That said, I believe one of the least expensive options are the wire cubbies from Target and a bunch of zip ties.

Good Luck,
K

Thanks for your suggestions - please keep them coming. I'm passing these all on to my daughter so she can decide.

I've been searching the Target website, but am having trouble finding what you are describing here. To be fair, I have no idea what a "zip tie" is. Do you happen to have a link to these items?

Cancel the zip tie part - I googled it and know what it is. What Target cubes are you using them with?

I also meant to say, I keep a couple colors on each shelf. Still very convenient.. my paper doesn't sit on the shelves long enough to get dusty!

This looks wonderful! I am sending the link to my daughter to see if she likes it. If so, I will order it. Thanks so much.

Default Same?

I have seen either the exact same thing or something very similiar at Hobby Lobby. Maybe you could even use a coupon! Anyway, you can see it in person.
