Paper for Cake Decorating - where do I get it?
I've tried Michaels, I've tried PM Hobby Craft, I've tried Lewiscraft and a number of Bakeries! No one has this paper! I don't know where to get the paper that I can stamp on and then use to decorate a cake. I found the food colouring markers no problem, but no one seems to carry the paper. Bakeries tell me that the computer imaging rice paper they use would be much too fragile for stamping on. Is that what you use anyway? Or is there some other product that should be used? Can someone help me? Where do I find this stuff?
Thanks in advance! |
I had heard that it was the rice paper. Try it and see if it works. The people at the bakery may not understand what you are trying to do.

I just ordered icing paper from www.stamponthis.com . It comes in either a big sheet or in circles for cupcakes. You decorate it and then place in on freshly iced cakes. The fresh icing makes the paper "melt".
Annette has full sheets and two circle sizes. She is wonderful to work with and your orders are packed quickly and sent right away. I really recommend checking our her site (plus she has tons of other neat stuff). Laura |
Thank you!

I've never heard of this! Sounds SO COOL!! What type of ink do you need to stamp with??

wow , sounds like fun,

There are special markers that you can use. Color the stamp with them. Annette has those as well and a link to the companies website which gives a list of the types of food you can write on.

I have looked on line. All I can find is sources in the US. Does anyone know of a Canadian source? I don't think I want to pay a whole bunch of shipping just for a couple sheets of paper.

that is neat... I think I might order some and try it!! I might just use my cake colors on the stamps though, think you should be able to paint it on them.
