Palette Stamp and Stick Gluepad
 

Help! I bought this product 3 years ago and was unsuccessful using it. So I bought a refill and refreshed it thinking it didn't have enough glue in it. Didn't help. I used less heat(suppose to be heat activated),then more heat. I guess I've tried everything I know to do to make this product work. Has anyone out there been successful with this product? Any help would be appreciated.

I've never heard anyone be successful with any brand of glue pad. I threw all mine out. If you are trying to stamp an image with glue I would recommend using a sticky stuff type embossing powder instead.

I've used mine for years with no issues. The trick is to only "ink" it as you need it. It isn't like a regular ink pad that will keep wet over months.

Hi, I can't comment on the glue pad stuff in theory it should work....
but have you tried some heat and stick products? you stamp with a craft ink or versamark then you sprinkle on the heat and stick powder and heat emboss it for a bit, shake on your glitter or sand or whatever then heat again and it sticks! It's like heat embossing glue. Give it a try.

I haven't used that particular brand of glue pad, but I have used the Martha Stewart one and it worked perfectly fine for what they are. The glitter stuck well, but would rub off if you rubbed it, but wouldn't fall off with just normal handling. I haven't had much luck with the SU heat n stick powder, but I think that one takes practice.

I don't know the product you're referring to. In theory it would be great if the glue pad worked like it's suppose to. But,it doesn't. But I'd give your product a try if you had a name and a source where I could purchase I have MS glitter glue pad and that works ok, but not for all applications. Thanks for the info..Pat

I bought one about 2 or 3 years ago and I used it several times. I hated it. I even put more of the glue refill on it and I still didn't like it. I actually threw it out about 2 months ago.

This is a card where I used the sticky stuff. The glitter does not come off even when you rub hard. I can't stand cards that shed glitter. SU also sells Heat & Stick Powder.

I've used mine without problems for a few years now. When you heat set it, watch for when it turns shiny. That's how you know it's sticky and you should stop heating it with your heat gun. That usually does the trick for me. Only takes me maybe 30 seconds with mine but everyone's tools are a bit different.

Sorry, I don't have an exact name as my crafting stuff is in boxes as I am changing rooms....( moving to a bigger room and all that!)

You can usually get it at the Lss store or micheals or specialty stamp store... it goes sounds like Heat and stick or heat and emboss powder. If you explain it to the store worker .

You stamp your design with versamark or a craft pigment ink then sprinkle on this powder then heat it til it's shiny then sprinkle on your glitter or beads or what have you. This works well for intricate designs. I have done this with sand as well for beach pages.

If you just want to do a large uniform area then I would suggest scoretape, the wide stuff . Ie a whole card.... stamp the image then put the tape on the whole thing and peel off the top and pour your glitter on or beads on and press and shake of the excess. this one is nice for water, snow or christmas cards.

Maybe WHOIStACY has hers handy. I'm thinking it was by Stampendous or some other company that makes lotsa embossing powders.
