Default Paint tins.

Hi,

First time posting and new demonstrator. Just wondering if anyone has used cardstock to wrap around the tin as a background. I really like the idea of using background stamps to stamp a background so the whole tin is covered and then adding stamped accents and building up from there. The problem is what type of paper to use as a base and I thought the cardstock would be too thick and maybe wouldn't stick so well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have a customer who has requested a 4litre tin as her workshop project but as all of her guests are new to SU I want to make sure it showcases stamping as much as possible rather than just using printed scrapbook papers.

Thanks Rob.

Welcome to SCS!! You should join the demo side of the web-site, too!!!

As for the paint can, you can use cardstock, but you will have to use sticky strip to hold it in place. I've used CS before on a paintcan and the sticky strip won't let it go anywhere!!

Good Luck on your workshop and let us know how it goes!!

Yes WELCOME!

And with CS I agree... I use my Xyron and use sticky stick around the edges. With designer papers and Whister White paper the Xyron is enough if the paper sticks to itself or overlaps in some places to secure it. I also found that SU's Basic Black CS is hardest to stick... just seems a bit thicker maybe.

Good luck,,, I have some paint can samples in my gallery too.
