Okay, I seen allot of these great looking paint cans that are stamped on in the gallery and heard allot about them....but, what I am wondering is, what do you do with them? Do give them empty or put something in the can when you give them??
Just wondering? I have never seen one in person. Sorry for the dumb question.
Thanks
Laurie
I think a lot of people use them like you would a gift basket. You know--bath salts, bubble bath, shower gel for a gift to the SIL. Or a hammer, nails, picture hangers for a new homeowner.

I have a few in my gallery if you wanted to see what they have been used for. I have made them for most anything, baby showers filled with cute little baby things (and my last recipient ordered two more for their other two children so they could all have cool banks, dad made a slot in baby's and it was really a neat idea! I have also made a gag gift for a 40th birthday (in my gallery) and great teacher's gifts filled with goodies for them. You can make one in almost any theme as long as you can find stuff to fit inside!
I used them for teachers' gifts. There's one in my gallery. I filled them with things the teachers like, such as favorite snacks and drinks, Barnes & Noble gift card, bookmark, popcorn. Another teacher was really into bike riding so I got her an REI gift card, fruit snacks, energy bars, that kind of stuff. Just pick a them and stuff!
I've made two this summer for friends of my son's. This one is decorated with On the Beach and filled mostly with beach/pool/bath things. In a separate gift bag will be a beach towel with the game Candyland printed on it; it comes with a mesh bag containing oversized game cards and pieces.
The second one I made to be a drum and filled it with small instruments and performing props including: rainbow streamer, harmonica, shaker egg, Velcro bells, knitted boa and matching Fun Fur scarf and headband. I put a key ring around the handle to store the mallet. I tied the rhythm sticks on with ribbon.
