Organizing stamps removed from blocks
I have just started the task of unmounting my wood block stamps and putting them on cling foam. I started with Stampin Up since they are sets. I'm planning to cut card stock, stamp the images on the cardstock then laminate it and stick the stamps to the laminated sheet, then slide that in a clear pocket. I'm printing the name of the set and SU underneath that. But I don't know what to do with all the single stamps. Would anyone care to share how you did yours? I would appreciate any tips. Thanks in advance.

I grouped similar stamps together such as:
Miscellaneous-Tropical includes palm trees, flamingo, mahalo, pineapple, etc
Miscellaneous-Flowers includes all types of flowers
Miscellaenous-Birthday includes various "Happy Birthday" stamps
Miscellaneous Chirstmas includes, bell, lights, trees, etc
Hope this helps you and Happy Stampin.!

I consider most of my stamps "single stamps" since they are separated out from the sets (unless the stamps need to stay as a set to make sense). I put like with like - flowers with flowers, hearts with hearts, thank yous with thank yous, etc. I don't stamp the index sheet, then laminate, because I'm constantly purging and acquiring and rearranging. I use blank laminated sheets to store the stamps, then stamp an index sheet to slip into the pocket those stamps are in. I write any info I think I'll need on there (company/set name, for example) for each stamp. As far as categories, think about how/why you're likely to use that stamp, then categorize accordingly. I have A LOT of categories. Some of them are typical (like Flowers), some are broader, like the "Seaside" category. It includes beach/tropical, boats, lighthouses, fish, shells, and all sentiments pertaining to those things. The categorizing is - to me - the part that is hardest to nail down sometimes, and one of the reasons I've re-vamped my system numerous times. Good luck with that!

That was one of my concerns...mind changing. This was very helpful.
