Default Sculpy Clay?

Anyone have samples using sculpy clay that they can post with instructions? I searched the gallery and there were only a few- mostly non card items. I have a ton of it and I want to use it on a card but I'm totally lost! I know you ladies will have some great ideas.

Here is one I did. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Have you used it before? Do you have a pasta machine? I am getting ready to leave for vacation and don't have much time, so I will let someone else answer. It is really easy! Have fun!

That is really cool. I don't have a pasta machine. Is that required?
I thought I could just roll it out and stamp away. Is that not the case?

That's neat!

I have some I haven't used yet. I don't have the pasta machine but I've read where you can roll it out between two popsicle sticks to get an even thickness. I'll try that first and if this becomes another addiction, then I'll invest in the pasta machine.

You do NOT need a pasta machine to do small embellishments. I only have one because I used to sell polymer jewelry that I made, and I did big/high quality projects.

For small stuff, I work on a piece of glass and roll my Sculpey flat with an old glass baby juice bottle!

Roll out a little piece, stamp, bake according to package directions, and you're good to go! If you are using PearlEx, it is best to brush it on prior to baking.
You can stamp with an inked OR clean stamp. I have done both, and when I use a clean stamp, I "antique" the baked image with watered down acrylic paint. Believe it or not, colored pencils (Prismacolor work best!) look beautiful on baked polymer clay...you can layer the colors, too.

Have fun!

Thanks, Melissa. I have had this clay since June and I haven't tried anything with it. I will try this on my day off and see what I come up with.

Here's one I did some time ago.
I made the small sun embellishment with sculpey clay.
I DO use a pasta machine, but it is not required. You just need to condition the clay well with your warm hands and roll it out thin.

I love my pasta machine. I got it half price for only $12 at Mike's this week. It's fun and makes it so much easier to work with the clay. I made roses this weekend.

Okay, I'll bring them to work tomorrow and use the digital camera at work to take a picture or two. I'll also bring the leaves I did and the cruddy pumpkin so you can see the difference between something rolled by hand and what the pasta machine can do.

Here's a little ATC I did for a swap recently. This was my first attempt at using Sculpey clay.

For one on the right: Roll clay through pasta maching on setting 1. Gently roll and cut bottom excess off. Add leaves.

For the one on the left: Roll clay through machine on setting 3. Roll and form leaves with gentle 13 year old finger tips (DD did that one). Run green through maching on 1 to form leaves on both.

Glad you like them. I thought they turned out great.

I posted a polymer clay instruction sheet with pictures a couple of months ago. Here's the link if you could still use some help. :-)
