Party favors suggestions..

hey everyone!! my friends and i are hosting a hawaiian themed party for my friend who's turning 30. i'm in charge of the party favors and i need help!! :confused: any suggestions??

My first thought is leis. I know that's kind of generic but that's the first thought that pops up when I think of a Hawaiian theme.

I love soap - handmade soap.
You can cover it up yourself, with paper and stamp.

Don't know if you enjoy baking, but I recently made home-made sugar cookies and decorated them in my party theme colors (orange, bright pink, bright green). I put them in cello bags and tied them with curling ribbon to match the cookies. Then I made a little stamped tag with the sentiment "thanks" and tied it around the bag.

They were a huge hit!! I won't lie - it was a bit time consuming since I had to make enough cookies for 25+ people and each bag had 7-8 cookes. I've attached a photo of the orange cookies. I don't know why I didn't take a picture of the finished product, but I think you'll get the idea!!!:-D

These were done with only two packs of SU's DP! They would looks super cute done with the Bali Breeze paper and a sentiment like, "The secret to happiness is to count your friends not your birthdays!" from the Edgy Eloquence set, or just Happy Birthday ____" in the center.

and one more from my dusty archives. This bookmark was made from a piece of bamboo that was originally a car mat that you sit on in the drivers' seat... super cheap! It would look awesome with a palm tree stamped on it and colored!

Party City has really great leis. They've got a box of 50 for $10 -- those are the plastic cheapie ones. They've got nicer ones for $1.49.

I'm not sure if you're still looking but I saw this in the gallery and the colors reminded me of a Hawaiian theme. You could get the Hawaiian fruit punch individual kool-aid packets to use.
