Question Opinions Please

I am having my first open house on Saturday and am deciding on what to demo. I got the Serene Sunflower set in my kit and was thinking of using this set to make a card. Do you think that this set would scare off new stampers? Or should I stick with a set that is not a two step?

Thanks for your advice!

Natalie

I think that Serene Sunflower is a beautiful set, but if you have beginner or non stampers, they may find it to detailed.. maybe make a card.. to "show" but demo something that is a little more basic. Jumst my opinion.. I am sure that the ladies in SCS will lead you in the right direction!
Good Luck and have fun!!

I agree with Jessica, demo a more basic card if there are a lot of inexperienced stampers, but definitely show the sunflower set, it will wow them.

I am not a demo or anything, and I don't know what the stamp set is. But I know the 2 step stamping is what got me into card making. It is really still pretty simple, but I was completely hooked after seeing that done. I had gotten mine from a different stamp company, but she let me try a different two step stamp before buying the one I wanted. Just my opinion from someone who got started with one!!

I just sent my paper work off today and I am getting that set too! I would go ahead and demo that one, but firt demo another set that may seem simplier to newbies you know cover a range of sets, styles and levels.

I am a low-level stamper and personally love two-step sets because you can get a multi-coloured image that looks great with no effort at all. I don't see how it is any more complicated than masking or other straightforward techniques. Include the sunflowers with some other projects and see how it goes, rather than trying to second- or third-guess how difficult you think the folks there might find it. Unless the group you are demoing to has motor control issues they should be just fine.

Default I agree

with Bastinggirl. The two step stamping is what got me hooked on Stampin Up the first time I saw it. I say go ahead and demo it.
