Does anyone know any details on the So Calif Stamp Til You drop in Ontario next weekend??

I signed up to go Saturday only. Is it still on? What time does it start on Saturday?

Who else here at SCS plans to attend? I haven't heard back from my e-mail to Joleen.

I am just coming out of the woodwork here in the SCS boards, but I'm am VERY interested in getting together for some stamping, and Ontario isn't too far away...please let me know if you see/hear anything more about this get together. Thanks!

We haven't heard back from Joleen either and are getting kinda nervous.

Jami, I know there were about 10 or 12 of us. I got the hotel conference room, but haven't heard back from Joleen. I would like to cancel the room if this event is being cancelled. I will try to get in contact with her again.

I would really like to get together with everyone. Shall we still try to pursue for this weekend or re-schedule for a more organized event?

I would also like to get together. Maybe we could still pull off a half day thing if this doesn't work out. Maybe we could just do a shoebox project swap or something like that??? I might be able to get a room at my church for a very small fee. Do you have a list of who signed up? Any way to contact people?

Jami, that sounds like a better idea. I like the idea of a shoebox swap. Maybe we should postpone it.... and do a half day thing somewhere. The church sounds fine. Or even a clubhouse somewhere!

I'm not sure of who all was attending. She just kind of gave me that figure. I was going to bring my sister and my cousin. Emily (and her mom?) were coming.... But I don't remember the list.

Shoebox swaps are fun and easy!

What you do is design a card for everyone to make. Then you put all of the supplies in a "shoebox"- pre-cut cardstock, stamps, ink, fibers, whatever you need to complete the card.

Then each person takes turns going to each shoebox and completing the card following the sample. When it's over, you have one card from each person. It's kinda like a "Do-it-yourself Card Swap".

It's a great way to learn new techniques because if you have any questions, you can always ask the person who designed the card for help!

that is awesome.... I would love to participate...especially if it's a day or half day thing. I just put in a huge order from the new catty (had to wait until we moved before I could order any new stuff) too bad it won't be here by then....anywho...please keep me updated I am very interested and my mom would probably come with me :o)

I couldn't go the weekend that it was originally going to happen, but if it ends up being re-scheduled I'm interested in going. :D

I got the e-mail also. At this point I was quite surprised, thinking for sure the event would be postponed. Hmmm...

Emily - e-mail or pm me and I will forward Joleen's e-mail to you. I think you are on the e-mail distribution. Maybe your address is incorrect or something.

CreativeDiva - if you want to go you might try e-mailing Joleen. It's a rather small group. Also I'm pretty certain we will do another gathering (shoebox swap type thing) probably in the Long Beach area sometime in the next couple of months.

Long Beach is even better! (well, closer). Please keep me posted if you do, I'd love to go :D

Hi ladies! Just wanted to make sure you all got my email about what to bring and such. Please let me know if you haven't so I can forward it to you.

I am moving to Huntington Beach in about a month. Maybe after a while we can have a get together out in the LA/OC area! That would be great fun!
