One way I have cut down spending

Another thing- I have noticed that the cheap stuff I buy is what is actually killing me. When a purchase is going to cost alot, I think it over well and never regret buying it, and use it alot.

When it is less than $5 I am much more likely to grab and impulse buy...and then never use it! I am thinking of the Michael's dollar stamps and clear ones, dollar store finds - stuff I dont need but buy only because it's a deal. ARG

I love all the tips listed here. I have stopped going to ACMoore or M's when I don't need any supplies. The time that I would have spent shopping is used to make cards.

I used to make the craft-shop rounds every Saturday, but now that I've stopped, I'm making a lot more cards. I find I'm less stressed too.

I share with my sister, mom and mother-in-law. That way we can try out sets. We have some duplicates-stuff we fell in love with. This works out GREAT at Christmas. We can spend about 2 weekends and knock out everyone's cards. That way we have more money to buy stuff we can use year-round!!

The Micheal's & Joann's in my area (110 miles away) aren't all that great, and the local scrapbook store (a very dangerous store - she carries all the latest must haves - including acrylic stamps!) is about 1-1/2 hours away, nothing closer,.......so, unless I buy from my Stampin Up demo once a month at 10 club, it sure helps if I just stay in my little town!

Ya'll talk about Dollar Tree and other dollar stores - the ones I have access to (also 110 miles away) don't carry any scrapping or stamping stuff!

One way I could cut down on spending would be to spend less time on the @#$% computer!! Sigh. What can I tell ya? I have a low sales resisitance threshhold! Hear about a great price on stickles? I'm there! No shipping or 40% coupon? I'm suckered in! A lot of blogs are selling machines and I would have a lot of extra time if I didn't want to stalk a few of my favorites every day.

I am trying to use up supplies that I have had for so long. I have a picnic basket filled with less-than-wonderful CS that I had to get when I first became a rubber addict. For my Halloween cards, I am using a fallish CS that I can't see myself using any other time. I had a pack of orange fibers for several years that I am using on the Halloween cards to use it up. It actually looked better than I thought! That's my challenge to myself. To use the things that I have.

Remind me of that when it's the 15th and the new PTI stuff comes out, or when I think that I will order another set of Nestabilities so I can use my coupon.....
