I would be willing to bet big bucks that the WWC are just being repackaged, not totally gone. Possibly in color families like everything else? They are still keeping watercolor paper, black and brown stazon, aquapainters......I'm really not concerned!!

That's a great theory, and I HOPE you are right, but they have the markers in a complete set for over $100, why get rid of the complete set then?

Maybe because they are adding the neutrals to the "complete set" ?

Maybe because the markers sell well as a set, but the crayons don't?

If they repackage the crayons to have neutrals, I hope they offer the neutrals for those people who already have the set. I am so NOT buying an entire new set just to get the neutrals.

They may be repackaging the envelopes as well, that was my first thought on all those envelopes...but then again, it seems that many of us buy the paper envelopes elsewhere...after all, they cost more at SU than anywhere else...even more than the clear ones. SO...maybe they will focus on the clear ones?

I'm guessing they're repackaging the envelopes. Maybe larger quantities? I can't imagine a company that sells products to make cards wouldn't offer envelopes even if it wasn't a big seller.

Yes, that's what repackaging means.
Unfortunately, Lisa, all of this is just speculation at this point. None of us have the new catalog yet, so none of us know EXACTLY what is happening with any of these retired items.

It looks like they're getting rid of the wider organdy ribbon only and a few of the narrower, 3/8" ribbon that don't quite match the SU colors.

Maybe they'll increase the variety of colors in the narrower organdy and either

1) have matching/better colors of organdy ribbon in 5/8" width instead
or, better still
2) bring in the really cute cindy ribbons

I don't know why but I am disturbed buy the amt of product, and the actual products on this list.... I guess that lump in my stomach is telling me that I'm losing any profit I've been making to restocking with current stuff. This does not encourage me as a demo. Maybe this happend last year too.... but not this much stuff! Maybe I just didn't have it yet.

I'm sorry for being negative!

I was wondering about the white signo pen (for faux stitching) I had heard rumors about it being discontinued, did I miss it on the list?

I am glad to see that they removed all the TAGS. This makes me feel like they will be adding the TAG punch and many stamp set to go with it.

I think the price of the Watercolor Crayons did them in. Other brands are so very much cheaper and work just as well. It is my guess they won't sell them.

I thought they were a pretty good value, all the colors, and they do so much. I got them and I was so sorry I hadn't gotten them sooner. Perhaps if people had gotten to try them more . . .

I know what you mean. I was especially concerned about the WWC. Even if repackaged, it feels weird to demo something not offered the same way. I wonder too if they make this big a cut of product every year and we just don't notice it because they haven't published a list before.

I am excited about the cut to designer paper. I am thinking it means that they are offering more!

I agree. It was a hard thing to get into peoples hands. If as a demostrator you did not have a good up line to advise you as to what this was aand how great a product it is you would see Crayons $60, and laugh, And not buy to demo. I myself just tryed them and love them.

WHY are they getting rid of all the envelopes? It's not like you can exactly redesign that and release a new envelope.
I agree! I would assume that if they were getting rid of the matching paper they would have included it in the list...correct?

Gosh, I hope not. I Love confetti cream and white.

I know what you mean. When I sold Longaberger and they redid the stain to "warm brown"...out went my demo kit!!! I couldn't demo a basket and say "well, it won't look EXACTLY like this", etc. I tried to stay above water for a while, but even a basket or two a month killed profits. Good luck, I hope all the demos who lose a lot of samples try to stick it out...one day at a time!

Oh, larger quanities..you are so smart. I never thought of them doing that. I was just so shocked to see the envelopes on the list. I live in a small town and it is cheaper and easier for me to by my envelopes through SU, so I was way bummed when I saw them on the retired list.

Based on what wheels are retiring, it looks like the Cool Cat set won't be in the new catalog (no jumbo Cool wheel) and that there WILL be a new music set to replace Jazzed Up (All that Jazz wheel is not retiring).

And what is up with retiring Ruff Play wheel when the Ruff Day set is still in there? I'm also sad to see Whimsical Blossoms wheel go - that one is so versatile! Glad I have it.

I also wondered about the Cool Jumbo Wheel retiring since Cool Cat is not. Some other wheels I'm wondering about are: Heart Angels, Jazz (as someone else mentioned), Making Tracks & Size It Up since the corresponding sets are retiring.
