In reorganizing, I came across this old SU set. Its called Hoppy Easter, and now that I have 2 little granddaughters, I want to use it. Im not good at coming up with ideas. Love the bunny, the words and the carrot. Its so old its not in the SCS gallery or on Pinterest or even a regular google search. Any ideas of where to start, or color combo?
Thanks for looking. Linda
If this is a second post Im sorry, the first disappeared. I came up with a pretty simple card using the Hoppy Easter and Decembers Paper Pumpkin. First card Ive ever posted. (And Im not sure thats what Im doing!) Any suggestions are welcomed. Linda
lcchio, I remember that set! What about using the ideas in the original catalog or at least as a starting point?I have some links to "old" websites that have idea galleries by SU set. I looked through them hoping they would have your set, but alas neither did.
But I do want to share the links as you may have other older SU sets you would like inspiration or ideas:
Lori Lynn's Gallery: http://lorilynn.bc2va.org/cgi-bin/in...i?gallery=Main (on the L-hand side you need to click on "Show All" to see all or just click on the letter that your stamp set begins with)
Pat Huntoon's Galery 2011-2012: www.patstamps.com/Card_gallery.html ...to see older than 2011...from this page click on Retired Sets Card Gallery on the R-hand side
Sorry I could not help on your specific set :(

So many great ideas to explore! Thank you. Tiny poms on the tail would be cute. The Basket using the new basketweave embossing folder would be cute. Sometimes the simple ideas can be the most elegant. Going to keep the soft blue background in mind and I could white emboss the bunny. I will be playing tonight. If I come up with some ideas, do I contact the admin for the gallery to put them in the SCS gallery? I would be able to do an index card. (Especially, since I plan to unmount this wood set.) Thanks for all your help! There might be several little ones getting bunny cards this year.
Linda
For older sets pre-dating Splitcoast, there would need to be a fair number of uploads ( I forget the exact number) before a specific gallery would be created, so it rarely happens.
We do, though, have index cards for some of the older sets...they're certainly helpful (I think). If you wished to create one and then post a link to it on our gallery index project thread (link in my signature), when Karen does an update, she'd process it to change the username to galleryindex, so it would show up when people use that as a search criterion.
For the cards you create, just upload them to your member gallery (make no selection from the drop-down menus), but use the set name in the keyword field. That's one cute bunny!

I can picture the basket with eggs in the lower center, and the bunny hopping over it, maybe upper right, and the sentiment upper left. Since I don't know how big the images are, I don't know if all this will fit on A2.
I love how you kept the silhouette style with the solid vines and leaves. I can see a great border or frame..on a a card.. With a new Easter/spring sentiment in the center. Use washi tape to give it a modern look.
