Do other local stores have "Marathon" stamping classes?
Hello. I am a long time stamper and I need to take a poll....pick your brains...etc. We have two local stores that hold stamping classes; one which focuses on stamping and another focusing on stamping and scrapping. One of the stores is considering changing the format of this "marathon" class. I'll try to succinctly describe both ways of presenting these classes and then I would love to hear suggestions, do/don't, thoughts, preferences, etc....
Store#1. A Marathon class here involves no more than six ladies sitting at a table, three per side. Each project and the sample are in a tray. A person from each table gets up to change out the trays when the projects have are completed by all at the table. Each class attendee has a packet with paper and embellishments. Everything else needed for the project is in the tray. Each class participant is expected to bring their own adhesive, personal trimmer, scissors, paint brushes and anything else one might require.
Store#2. The setup for the Marathon class uses 8 ft tables, facing each other, with students sitting next to each other on the outsides of the tables, and the instructor having access from the aisle between the tables. The students move from project to project. Each "station" contains everything needed for the project. Students are asked to bring their class kit of scissors, adhesive, and anything else needed, although glue sticks and paper cutters are provided.
Thoughts? Suggestions? How is it done in your community? How would you like to see this class designed? If you could have it your way, what would you do?
