Does anyone have, like or use Rubber Soul acrylic stamps?
HI,
I saw the CUTEST Rubber Soul acrylic stamps at an area stamp store. OH MY GOSH. They were the cutest animals and cutest sayings. One was a giraffe that said, "It's been too long" or something like that... and the nice thing was that they words and animals were separate.... these were adorable.
Rubber Soul is an awesome store located here Redmond and Poulsbo, WA. They have great service and carry several lines and have recently added Wordsworth to their stores. That said, I have a few of the acrylic stamps with duplicates of some in the wood mounted version and I'll just say I prefer their wood mounted versions. Some of the acrylics just don't give a clear impression.
I have one of their stamps that I love. It's happy birthday in a circle.
Then I saw the whole set in acrylic at AC Moore, and they are on sale. I am trying to stay away from the store, since they regularly go on sale.
I have quite a few Rubbler Soul wood mounted stamps and they are well made with deeply etched images and stamp beautifully. One of my favorite stamps is by Rubber Soul and is called "Tree in the Wind." This is a card that I did way back when using this stamp.
I have weak spot for giraffes so I have that UM set with the animals that you mentioned and its fun. I also prefer wood mounted stamps over acrylics and ended up getting the giraffe on wood.
Sorry, if it's not okay to attach the card to the post please delete my post and attachment. I didn't mean to bypass the approval system but this is an old card which I didn't want to put in my gallery and I just wanted to show what the stamp looks like.
I have this set. They are so much fun. I love the ease of having so many images in so little space. I have not had any problems with the image the acyrlic stamps make.
I took my first ever not Stampin Up class at Rubber Soul in Poulsbo, WA. It is a great store! They do a lot of their own stamps. My favorite is a wood mounted ferry. This stamp caught my eye as I walked in the door and it left to come home with me! You can see it in my gallery Gallery at Splitcoaststampers I haven't used any of their acrylics, but the giraffe sounds adorable.

That stamp is really cool! I would have picked it up, too. Your gallery is nice as well. I wonder, are RS stores only in that part of the country, and they just market their stamps elsewhere?
I have that set that you were talking about (alligator, giraffe, hippo, etc--the animal set). I think it's great. It reminds me of the SU setcalled Wild About You). The nice thing about it is that it is clear and easy to see where you're stamping.
