Default Fathers' day card words

I'm needing words to put inside Fathers' Day cards to my son and son in law. "Best dad ever" type sentiments are not suitable. Both are dependable, and present, but not hands-on dads. I want to be encouraging, but not lie! HELP!

How about some of Tim Holtz's sayings? Like: Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning how to dance in the rain. Or: It's the little things that make life big. Another one: Life is what happens to us while we are making other plans.

I find that just life sayings work best when you don't want to say what a great father or mother someone is.......

For "guy" cards, I tend to think the more simple, the better, lol. How about just a big "Happy Father's Day" inside?

My dad has been gone for many years, but I always send Father's Day cards to all the fathers in our family, and that's what I usually put inside. Here is this year's card:

How about something like "Wishing you happiness on this special day"? Or "Wishing you a day filled with happiness, love and laughter"?

Annette, love your card. I usually go with Happy Father's Day also - not very imaginative but that's what seems to work best!
