not so traditional Christmas card colors?
what are some really good color combos for Christmas cards? I mean, still Christmas-y, but not the "green & red" look?
TIA!

I really like Not Quite Navy for the holidays. Also, any of the mustard golds are nice too.

For the non-traditional red/green combo: I like Rose Red & Old Olive.

I made one once out of plum and navy. Would make a very cool VSN challenge too, no red or green

Mine are often light blue, navy and silver - there is something very special about this combination, I think!

One year I used mellow moss with perfect plum, and everybody seemed to really like it.

My cards this year are going to be Night of Navy and Lovely Lilac with Hologram embossed snowflakes. Looks cool - wish I was talented enough to figure out how to upload my cards! That's another story though!

Thanks guys! There are some great combos out there I made a couple at a Christmas stamp camp and they made me think about all the possible non-traditional color combos. Here are a couple examples :
Again, not my idea, just what we made
keep the posts coming!

I am NOT a christmas card maker. I normally only make happy new year cards, something I took over from my parents.
But last year I bought a rubber stamp (after christmas!) that forces me to make christmas cards this year. This stamp was soooooooooooooooo cute I couldn't resist it
But my personal thoughts about christmas cards is that it is not the color that makes it a christmas card. The special christmas stamps/pictures you use are more important and make it a christmas card anyway.
BUT the most important thing is that you took the time to make a card for someone kind in your live withLOVE!!!!
If you ask me that is the message for christmas.

Pink and burgundy work well - and it looks nice combined to silver embossing. I also like navy, not quite navy and certainly celery with some iridescent ice embossing, which mimicks those colors.
Pale blue with greys and silver is another winning combo. It gives more of a winter feel to your work.
Hth!
