Default New or is it?

I just bought some American Craft winter chipboard pieces, and I didn't realize the package had been opened. Someone returned the chipboard after putting stickles on some of the snowflake pieces! Who would return an item like that? (rhetorical question)

Have you ever bought something that turned out to be obviously used?

Well, not everyone can be honest. We all have the ability to be but some can be thoughtless or plainly unkind, so you can't be surprised when it does happen. I have purchased a few items on ebay that was sold as "new" but were clearly used but still in excellent condition. All sellers were willing to refund parts of my money back to avoid negative feedback. I usually ask for a partial refund or I would have to spend money to ship back the items. It's mostly items that have easy-to-open packaging. Mine were the "We R Memories" Tag-line chipboards. I purchased a huge lot for a discounted price form the seller and found that the top was resealed with magic tape. It didn't bother me that it had been opened because the items were still new, but it bothered me that it was sold as "new." I would have listed it as opened, but in like-new condition.
