No more Scrapbooking Answers magazine!!
I was so disappointed to find this out this morning! I'm not much of a scrapper, but this was my one and only papercrafting magazine subscription, due to the honest product reviews and wonderful step-by-step tutorials. Oh, and good photography info, too! Anyway, the November issue will be the last one...
See my info on their forum: http://www.scrapbookanswers.com/foru...pic.php?t=1495

I am very disappointed! I still have a few issues left on my subscription. I absolutely love this magazine and the CD that comes with it. I thought it was the best scrapbook magazine out there!

That really sucks. I just subscribed and it is the only mag I was subscribing to this year. I LOVE the CD. I've gotten every issue that came out and it was the best scrapbooking magazine on the market. Well, I guess the upside is that I don't need to spend any money on mags this year.

Well looks like the parent company doesn't much care about women as they are getting rid of all women mags, etc from their holdings.

Info for all of current subscribers:
"We are currently looking for another scrapbooking magazine to give to our subscribers for the balance of their subscriptions. When this occurs, subscribers will get a copy of that magazine with a letter letting them know that has happened. If they don't like that magazine, they can get a refund at that time.
Subscribers who would rather not wait can get a refund now. They can contact Future's customer service by calling a toll free service number (1-888-721-7387) to arrange a refund.
It is very important to us that anyone who requests a refund gets one as soon as they ask for it." (Jon Phillips, Editorial Director)

This is a shame! I recently received my trial issue as a precursor to subscribing...guess I don't have to pay that invoice, then! I wish I would have discovered the magazine a lot sooner, though -- I'd love to have all of those discs!

I just bought their one year anniversary copy off the rack, and I was highly impressed, as others have mentioned, with the great information, well-written articles, and unbiased reviews of products (based on the fact that they actually used and tested the products and shared honest opinions on the pros and cons! This is un-heard of in most magazines!)
I am not a scrapbooker, but I am genuinely bummed that this great magazine is being terminated . . . And, I feel wretched for the magazine's staff--it is obvious how hard they worked to make it as great as it is. What a loss . . .

Really a shame! This was one of the best papercrafting mags out there, and the CDs were awesome. Grab their holiday issue if you see it - you won't be sorry.

That is truly a shame. This magazine is listed on our girlscouts magazine sales booklet this year and was on my list. I hope they find a way to let people know about that.
Too bad for the staff. I'm sure they have worked so hard but theya re talented and will find another position, I'm sure.

What an absolute shame!!! I just loved the CD that came with this magazine and the ideas presented could be easily translated into making cards.

Actually, it had nothing to do with subscriptions or sales which were steadily increasing. According to the press statement, the parent company is ending all affiliation to women's magazines.

Women are the main purchasers for most households.
Women *adore* magazines and buy/subscribe to *plenty* of 'em, based on all sorts of topics from cooking, to home decor, to fashion, and hobby interests.
Mebbe it's just me, but doesn't it strike anybody else as "odd" that they would sever all affiliation to women's magazines????

Man this magazine is the best crafting magazine I have ever come across. I am not a big scrapper but the product reviews and techniques were the best. Farewell my friend.

This is such sad news. The only magazine I subscribed to was Scrapbook answers and I honestly do not have a replacement. Any of you that know of a similar magazine please let me know.

I have to confess I have yet to open any of the CDs so far. It doesn't make sense why another magazine company wouldn't pick up the magazine, if it was profitable?
At least they are allowing people to get their money back, unlike what Paperkuts did. I hope the magazine they transfer to is not Memory Makers.

Wow! I didn't see that in his statement. I went back and read it again. Is that info posted somewhere else? Isn't that weird? I'm sitting here with my daughter's scout magazine sale and I'm buying four magazines. My husband, one. It's funny that they would even make a statement like that even it it were true. Hmmm.
Hey, by the way, I love Creating Keepsakes and Memory Makers too. And Memory Makers is a girlscout choice so I guess I will renew that one. Maybe I'll try something new, like cooking....bwahhhh haaaaa haaaaaa.

OOh, sorry. I lost control for a minute!

I haven't heard anything about the women's mags statement elsewhere, but here are some of the other titles that are being discontinued. I wouldn't think many of them would have a lot of female readers.

Thank you so much for this info. I just checked and I still have a year left on my sub, (I did the 2 year thing) so that was a concern. I already sub to most other scrapbooking mags, so I may call and get a refund or at least some info as to what other mag may pick up the subs. I found last time this happened with Paperkuts, my sub got all messed up because I was a subscriber and had just renewed, then they added whatever time was left, anyway it was very confusing I think that sub goes to 2009!
As far as Scrapbook Answers goes, I'm bummed! This was my favorite. In fact I've been considering letting several other mag subs go... especially Creating Keepsakes. I flip thru that just to look at the ads, how crazy is that? I just feel they have way too much on each scrap page. I always think... how much did that scrap page cost? I think they are just trying to get us to buy more and more scrap supplies......... as if we don't already!!!!!!

I just called the 1-888 #. They have not made a decision as to what mag to transfer any subs to yet, but the girl I spoke to said it could be a scrap mag or not. I asked if I waited to see, could I still get a refund at that time? She said that would be up to whoever that magazine is. That worried me. So I decided to just get my refund now, she will credit it to my Amex, $20.42 for 8 remaining issues. I hope I made the right decision, I just didn't want it to get confusing.

I am so upset right now. This is the ONLY magazine I read from cover to cover. It is also the only one I keep intact. It is such an awesome magazine. I enjoy their honest and in your face type of product reviews - if they find a problem with something there is no sugar coating and if they love it they let you know. I was considering not renewing my subscriptions to Creating Keepsakes & Memory Makers because I enjoy Scrapbook Answers so much more. I love how it is not just layouts but real how to articles. And they always somehow know what new tool or product I'm thinking about getting because they review it right when I'm thinking of it.
I admit the discs have never been the thrill for me. I look them over but really could do with it.
UGH!!! I want my Scrapbook Answers!!! waaaaa waaaa waaaa
