Okay, I am gearing up for my first big party of the new catalog, and it's going to be a Christmas party. I am planning on having a tree with gifts and hand stamped ornaments. Games and Christmas cookies.
Here're the questions:
what would be some cool game ideas?
Cool gift ideas?
simple pretty ornaments and decoration ideas and tips?
I have about 2 weeks to get this all together. I have already picked our projects and demos for the party, I just need to get the other stuff all sorted out.
OMG what a fun idea!! Can I come?! I love getting all the Christmas cards done way ahead of time so I can have one less thing to concentrate on during that hectic time. Here are my suggestions:
Display another other Christmas Stampin up sets you have around the room with card examples next to it. Also red and green Stampin up supplies of any color you have for decorations.
You could do a pink elephant kind of idea where everyone brings something they are not using any more but is still a nice item to give away at the party?
You could decorate flower pots and put styrofoam in them to hold sugar cookies on popsicle sticks that you make in Christmas shapes. Since it is summer time you could do a punch with floating candles of christmas items in them. I one time found a cute Santa one with a intertube around him. Check ebay!
Hope this was some help for brainstorming ideas for your party. You sound like a really great and fun demo. Wished you lived closer I love stuff like this! I would so be there!

Neat idea
I agree with all of Abby's thoughts... I'd string some lights up to just for kicks! :} Have Fun! Give away small black stamp spots to the first person who arrives, first to finish their stack of cards to be stamped, first to place their order.... Just some thoughts! Or a small incentive stamp , or retired ribbon, whatever you have on hand...inexoensive freebies :}

If you would like to play a game I have one I like. Depending on the size of the group it matters.
I like making my own BINGO card. It can have squares that would bring people asking questions. Like...a person who likes _____ technique. Then each person has to go to the other people and find someone to sign that block. Hopefully people can get up and move but then it also shows different aspects of stamping.
Also, since it is a new catty it might be nice to show a certain item (ie. embossing powder) and then have everyonw try to find the page number.
My friend and old demo did a Christmas in July. We had such fun. She tied small imcentive type stamps with ribbon and hung them on the tree in pairs of like items.. We each got a set before we left.
I one time made ornaments w/ my DS 3rd grade class for a Christmas party. We used clear bulbs and transperancy paper roll up and slide into bulb. Use a string to hold up. Tie to a hole you previously punched in the top of paper. You can used stazon to stamp any image you like!
I am sooooo doing the incentive stamp thing!! Thanks for all the great ideas everyone. My dh is getting my christmas tree out of the attic today so I can start working on it. I hope my catty gets here before my party!! Yikes, that would be awful. I have finished 3 of the 6 cards we are making. Now I just have to get motivated to make the other three. I am trying to keep them pretty simple since we are doing so many, and most of my customers are newbies...I really want to get into cool embellishments, but not all of my customers are ready for new techniques and possibly difficult embellishments...so I am trying to ease them into it.
I am busting out the Christmas lights tonight too, so I can decorate my house. Thanks soooo much for all the neat ideas! I can't wait for this party.
