Default Is anyone using the SU digital DP or images in Photoshop Elements?

I have a Mac. I would like to get the MDS but I have discovered that it needs Java to run and Apple removed Java from Mountain Lion and other operating systems because of security issues. I can download Java on my own but I don't want to take a chance if Apple feels it is unsafe.

I know I can buy individual downloads and they don't need Java. I bought one of DP and was very happy with it . I was able to drag and drop it into my word program ( Pages) and resize the pattern to be suitable for cards.

My daughter gave me Photoshop Elements. Sorry to say it is still in the box, but I have good intentions to learn it Honest I do LOL

The SU site said the MDS and I assume the individual downloads will work with other programs such as Adobe Photoshop Elements you just can't use their professional print feature.

I am only interested in the DP and a few of the image brushes . I like a lot of SU DP but many of the patterns are too large for cards .

Has anyone used them in Photoshop Elements and if so how did they work

Thanks
Barbara Jay

Yes, I've used my MDS downloads in PSE, and it works perfectly fine. Enjoy!

You can use SU images in any graphics editing program since they either jpg or png files. I use a few in Paintshop Pro X and Photoshop CS5 without any problems.

Thanks!! That is the way I will go. Now I need to push myself to learn to use Photoshop elements

I really only want the digital DP and maybe a couple of images if they are suitable for coloring. For most images I prefer the actual stamps.

The individual downloads for just the DP are $4.95 so I can have a lot of DP patterns for the cost of the entire program. I don't want the suites with Clip Art of buttons, ribbon and embellishments. Those are $10-$30. I have no interest in the printing service either.

I bought a pack of HP 32# Premium Presentation paper and it seems close to the correct weight.
Thanks again
Barbara

Besides, with PSE (or any other graphics program) you can save your finished project as a jpeg and have it printed where ever you like. A lot of places online that offer very reasonable prices for quality prints if you wanted larger sizes you can't print at home. If you're just printing the patterned papers at home, then I personally wouldn't get MDS if you already have PSE. You should also look around the different digital scrapbooking sites. There are thousands of beautiful free digital papers. I literally filled up a 500gig external hard drive with free digi papers. over the last couple of years.

Thanks! After some research I really didn't think I needed to buy MDS program either. Thanks for the confirmation . All I want to to print the DP.

I found I can even do that by dropping and dragging to my word program ( pages , I have a Mac) I can resize it there.
This idea has me inspired
SU sells digi paper to match their colors. Gina K sells digi paper to match her CS.
Now I must go hunting for free digi paper.
