Someone told us just ink pads and paper. No markers.

It just occured to me: what about re-inkers? Your pads are only good for so long if they don't supply you with re-inkers. Hmmmmm...

They will probably have re-inkers.

Oh, what the heck, I'm going to ask for another caddy altogether. Gotta plan for the future! Hmmm, then I might be more inclined to buy Craft pads. This could get out of hand fast.

I have the Elite and I really like it.

It sounds (to me) from the wording I've heard that it will be a rotating line each year.... it is the "IN color" line.... like what colors are "IN" each year... nothing extra offered for this line, just the pads/paper to supplement you with new fresh colors.....

Mama K,
Longaberger is doing the same thing with colored baskets, they will rotate in seasonally to support the regular line....interesting how things go in cycles....

I hope the carribean blue is what I am looking for. I need a 'pool blue" type of color to do my sister wedding scrapbook. The tempting turq. just isn't quite right. OOOOHHHH... I am SO excited!

To me, the Cool Carribean looks like a pastel shade of the tempting turquoise.

I just found this thread. My question is....are they going to discontinue other colors? Or are these add on colors?

HOW EXCITING! I can't wait for the aqua color... that is my all time favorite color and have been hoping for Stampin Up to come out with it for a looong time! BUT if it's only for this year I'm gonna have to buy a ton of it so it lasts me forever

Do you think they would just start with the ink pads and paper and then next year add more to it... ie: markers, wc crayons, craft pads... (probably not cause that would outdate the color wheel and such, huh??) I am so wanting Cool Carribean to stay around forever! (and i haven't even seen it yet!)

No re-inkers either. Classic pads and paper only.

8 1/2 x 11 CS = 24 sheets
12 x 12 CS = one package, 4 sheets of each color

Hey Lisa I just wanted to let you know I deleted your post containing a portion of the SS becasue it hinges on copyright infringement. Thanks for being willing to share but those SS issues are copyrighted by SU just as the catalog is.

I don't know about this whole thing...
if there's no reinkers, markers, craft pads, ribbon, etc., and they'll only be seasonal, isn't it basically just SU! not wanting people to use other companies' products?
Plus, for all the demos out there, will they only be able to use them until the next "rotating" set comes out???

Oh, I don't like the sound of that. That means they'll be discontinued. REALLY not liking that. Maybe I'll stock up on Cranberry and forget the rest.

I just re-read the article 3 times to make sure I was not missing anything.

No where did it say that they would change these colors each year, nor did it say that other items (re-inkers, markers, etc..) would *not* be available. I think there are a lot of speculation and assumptions right now, because nothing has been spelled out for us.

All we can do is wait for the new catalog to come out...then we will know for sure what they will offer in the new colors. I am sure there is a lot more than they are saying right now.

They are in the big catalog. So they are around for at least a year. My guess is the ink refills will be availiable for them.

No reinkers? That doesn't make sense. What happens when a pad runs dry? It seems wasteful (not to mention costly) for SU to be setting us up for a situation where we're tossing out perfectly usable pads just because they can't be reinked. Somehow that just doesn't sound like their style. Now I'm really curious.

It doesn't say that there will *NOT* be reinkers. That is what some are assuming, because it doesn't say one way or the other.

I think it could be either buckaroo blue or not quite navy. It is hard to say

I dunno why anyone is jumping the gun and thinking SU! will or wont have this that or the other concerning the new colors add-ons! Im excited to Demo them. There is a lot of speculation going on for no real reason! I want everything too- markers ribbon reinkers etc., but Im just not worried about it.
I dont get upset when Stazon or Basic Gray comes out with new colors, I run out and buy them without thinking!! lol Im sure tons of our ribbon and paper wiill coordinate with them just fine (unless we have all new background papers in July!!!! ooooooh....)Ü

I think everyone is just excited about the new colors, and speculating on what will happen is just a way to express that. I think that is half the fun of this time of our "Stampin' Calendar": new catty comes out soon and everyone is just having fun guessing what will happen!

I, personally, cannot wait!!! (Just starting stamping last August, so I have never been around for the retirement list and new catty...very exciting!!)

When something new comes out it seems comparable to an upcoming sporting event where people speculate who is going to win, by how much and all the trival stuff. It stirs interest. Just human nature. We always want to know what, where, why and how.

Buckaroo Blue, to me, is a bluer, warmer shade of Bordering Blue; Marigold Morning is a deeper Apricot Appeal; Cranberry Crips is a warmer deeper Ruby Red; Vintage Violet is a lighter, softer Elegant Eggplant;Cool Caribean is closest to tempting turquoise but much, much lighter-not as deep in color - cooler looking. This is whatthey look like to me trying to explain a color to someone. I believe they will compliment all the colors SU already has!

Oh these sound better than last year's.... I do hope they eventually come out with craft inks.
They will only be coming out with:

Classic Pads
11x8 1/2 Cardstock
12x12 Cardstock

They will only be available for one year. SU will have an 'In Color' family with six colors that are 'in'. They will pick six new colors next year. Hope you understood that.

Edited to add: I'm not sure if there will be reinkers available.
