What is the best paper out there for coloring with Prismas and OMS? blending pens? watercolor brushes? I have had some problems with some of my cs pilling so I would like to invest in the right kind of paper for the different coloring mediums. Thanks so much!
What I prefer:
For Prisma pencils and OMS--Georgia Pacific from Walmart (big pack for $5 in Office supply)
Watercolors-Watercolor paper; I have been experimenting with different qualities--In my experience--low quality Watercolor Paper is better than regular cardstock. But Cold Press 140 lb. is the ideal.
I actually like a cheaper paper for prisma pencils and OMS too. I almost always use SU whisper white for stamping -- BUT for pencils and OMS I like DOMTAR white cardstock. It's about equivalent to the georgia pacific except my brother works for Domtar so he's brought me a ton of it. It's not quite as bright as SU but actually a little heavier -- I just think the color blends better on it.

Oh, I forgot to say---I often like to use colored cardstock for Prismacolor pencils + OMS. The colors can just *pop* off the page. It is worth experimenting!
Copics: Papertrey Ink or Fabriano Hot Pressed 140Lb both work great
Pencils and Gamsol: Stampin up Whisper white blends great best I found
Watercolors: Fabriano Cold or Hot pressed I like Cold 140lb best. Cheapest place to buy cause its kinda spendy is DickBlick.com its like 40% below retail of their store.
Just to explain the difference, with people throwing out hot and cold pressed as descriptions for watercolour paper - hot pressed has a smoother finish. Some people find it easier to get a good stamped image on thr HP, especially if there is fine detail in the image. I mostly used cold-pressed myself.

Oooh... I'll have to try this. Do you have a link to any samples you might be willing to share?
