WOW - I really like this mini - now I have to rethink my budget, since I have the Spellbinder's die cuts on my list and that is taking a BIG bite out of my budget!!
There are a couple tag stamps I love; however, not everyone wants more Christmas stamps AND not everone celebrates this holiday. I feel the same about the new catty.
Love it! I didn't have a lot of just got to have it stamps in the new catty, but I am in trouble with the mini. There are at least three I have to have. Oh well there goes my good intentions and budget for Sept, Oct, and Nov.
Thanks for the posting! It gives me headstart on what I need to budget for.
Thanks for posting the link. The last couple of holiday mini's haven't really hit my hot buttons but this one made up for it. There is so much I like it will be hard to choose but the satin ribbon is a must.
Well I am glad to say that SU is beginning to look the same to me. Stem Silhouettes looks like the hostess set garden silhouettes. Another looks like in the spot light, it's cute so if I don't get in the spotlight I would get that one. They are making it easy for me not to buy or at least to buy less. I do like snow burst, but they remind me of snow flurries, I like the angel in holy triptych but don't care about the rest and I really like love and joy.
Oh well, maybe I will fall in love with some of them as I look at them longer or see them used. It's been known to happen on quite a few times.
Answers to some of the questions...
Christina..... The new mini will start shipping on Aug 1 plus will be on the web, but you can't buy from it until Sept 1st
KristinaG.....Yes there will be a retirement list every 6 months, and the dorment list is really quit small
Momismama.....I like the new Halloween...a black cat, some pumpkins etc
Cardmaker2....I can't post a link but here are a few things
*8 pc set with a Santa that looks a lot like the Santa in "Jolly Holiday" last years holiday mini
* Large snowflake
*tags
* Christmas verses
*Halloween & fall harvest
And my favourite...the nativity set soooo elegant
Right click the link and "Save Link As" and save it to your hard drive. as long as you have Adobe you will be able to open it.
If you don't have Adobe go to www.adobe.com and dowload Adobe reader
Thanks so much for the help! It made my day as you can imagine. By the way, I am in love with most of it. The wrapping paper is a little pricey, and I don't usually make my tags because the kids don't really care about them, but the stamp sets are darling! Just thought I'd put my two cents in.
Thanks again!

Thanks for sharing. I hadn't heard that from my SU! demo yet. It seems that would make it harder for demos to purchase sets if they might only be around for 6 months, but it is what it is. I know a lot of people who are going to have to budget differently now that stamps will be retiring in December and June. Especially because the December retirements will be in the middle of holiday spending.
Bethany - thanks so much for sharing the link, it's AWESOME!! I definitely have to start setting my budget now, because there weren't many things I didn't want from the new mini! OMG, what to do, what to do...
On page 22 of the mini, they show red (real red? purely pomegranate?) and green (gable green? wild wasabi?) ribbons on the gifts in the photo. Are these from the main catalogue or something?
Love a bunch of stuff in the new mini! Thanks for sharing.... too bad my hostess month isn't till sept or oct....
This will be right in time for this mini since it doesn't start until Sept.1.
As for the retiring list twice a year, it's true there will be a retiring list twice a year. But Stampin' Up! has said it will not be as extensive as the one that came out in May.
You may now continue your drooling over the mini! ;)

They wont be retiring all stamp sets every 6 months. Just some of them. Some will likely be around for a year and longer making it into next year's catalogue.

My guess would be that it's the 5/8ths inch celery and real red grosgrain that are in the main catty. To me, it doesn't look quite as shiny (reflective) as the satin ribbons.

I know they won't be retiring all sets every 6 months, but I was surprised at the number of brand new sets ('06-'07) that retired in June. It seemed to me that they hardly had a chance to "catch on" and they were gone. I know my SU! demo had a lot of her sets that retired and she is being careful as to which new ones she buys because she wants to be able to use them for awhile. Oh well, I guess we just wait and see. Hopefully my wish list will contain stamps that will be carried over to another catalog (or the dormant list) so that I don't break my budget.

I'm glad it worked for you! I spend all day doing tech support so it was pretty much me going on auto pilot
All the stamps are die cut, which is Wonderful to me!
If you live where there is snow, then you will love all the new sets w/Snow!
If you like tags, then you will love all the new Tag sets.
The prices are about the same as the New catalog.
There are a couple of wheels & a couple of fall sets.
Hopes this helps!
Thanks so much for sharing this! I'm going to have to start budgeting and figuring because this little mini could end up costing me a pretty penny! I love the wrapping paper and matching satin ribbon. It's pretty spendy so I'll only use it for a few special gifts, but it's so pretty I just can't resist! The snow wheel is very cute and the chipboard looks like it will be fun to work with as well! Stampin' Up definately knows how to keep people's attention and interest.
Thank so much for showing us. I was thinking of having a party in Sept. so this should be nice. Does anyone know what the Sept. special is for hostesses? I don't want the punch box, so I'm not having the party in August.
If you are not a demo, how exactly did you get the link? I was under the impression that the mini was only accessible though the SU! demo website? Just curious, I'm not the SU! police or anything.

There is still a lot of that whimsical...dot art in the new mini...everything is just starting to look the same to me. I am not impressed with their artwork right now. Are they running out of ideas?

I do like the tags....even though I have a lot from past catalogs...and the satin ribbon is pretty...and I like the cider paper...will have to think about it...always easier to see when its sitting in front of me than looking at it on computer.

I adore the new mini and have already prepared my wish list. I think the items are gorgeous - I am more into elegant and classy and this mini fulfills my heart's desire for those type of items
Thanks for showing us the mini cat!. Not one thing for me to buy (very dissapointing!). They kept the same one Jewish set in the big cat. and now do not give us anything in holiday the mini. The "Friend" set looks like it will go with the new "western" sets, but am not sure I will get it. The tag that comes with the triptych is beautifyl - wish it came by itself.
Thanks for posting the link. I have to say, however, that I'm not impressed with anything. That's good though, cause now I'll have more room in my budget for more things from the new catalog.
Really, wow, because I love most everything in the mini! It is gorgeous and I am a demo for a competing company!
