new catty, please!!

Arg. I'm tired of the SU! catty!! I just bought the last of 3 out of 4 stamps sets that I want and after that?? Hmm...here's hoping I like the spring catty in March. I cannot wait until that new BIG SU! catty comes out. I hope it has lots of new stamp sets in there. I guess I am a somewhat bored stamper, if I don't get lots of candy (aka new stamps!) at a constant rate!http://www.millan.net/minimations/sm...oredsmiley.gif

Isnt' that terrible? In order to soothe the raging stamping monster in me, I've been buying Bellas, Inky Antics, Stick Chicks and I just got an order from House Mouse.

And Jane (my sister), if you are reading this, yes, I have stopped buying. These were all from before Christmas when I said I would stop!!! (I've been promising her that I would stop spending so much and I am trying soooo hard....it's driving me crazyhttp://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/gaah.gif).

I mean, really, how many stamp sets does a person really need? I got my SAB sets and I've only used the pig so far from Very Punny. But I love them all. Guess I'm a collector at heart!

I'm with you on the catty! I looking for my stamp set I get with the mini demo kit and can't decide!!! I've looked it over many times and can't find one I want. Even the ones I had marked to buy don't appeal so much any more, or they are way under the $ amount. I might as well get my $ worth. I went thru my set to mark my retired sets and wow was I surprised. Most of my sets came from the mini cattys and are no longer for sale.

Thanks for taking the words out of my mouth!

Happy Stampin'

Tina

PS with all that said I can't wait to become a demo!!!!!!

I hear you! I placed a stamp club order over the weekend and really had to use my brain power to come up with stuff to get! If you haven't seen the Spring Mini, send me a PM and I'll email you the file! I know there are promising sets in there for me but I'm anxiously awaiting the new catty as well!

Call me crazy but...if you "really had to use your brain power" to come up with an order why did you order? Oh man am I ever getting practical in my old age :)

This time the catalog does not seem to have as many "must haves" for me either. Over the past year or two as a hobby demo...I've purchased mostly all of the basics. I've not ordered anything during SAB this time which is pretty rare for me. By now I generally have all of the free sets. I'm not sure if I'm bored with collecting or I find that I have something similar to the new offerings and cannot justify buying it. Maybe I am choosing to spend my money differently. Recently I purchased a gas grill on clearance and figured it was better than buying $300 worth of stamps. Don't get me wrong...I still enjoy stamping, but feel it is time to start using what is in my stash. ;)

She probably HAD to order because when you are in a 'club' you have to meet the minimum dollar requirements set by your demo for an order.

Wow! I wish I had this problem. There are lots of sets I probably won't end with from this catty, and I LOVE the Spring Mini.

Just to throw a little gas on the fire, I heard a rumor that SU is going to TWO catties a year vs one. Anyone know if this is true? Not sure I like the idea, but, maybe then we wouldn't have to wait so long for new stuff. But I do agree, I'm getting more from the mini's than the actual catty.

denidill 02-12-2007 12:06 PM

Yes, there will be two cattys coming out...one in spring and one later ...apparently, both over 200 pages!

I was bored with SU cattie a while ago. I have eevry set I could possibly want out of the big cattie. HOWEVER I just LOVE the spring mini and already ordered half of it. I didnt have half of my 300.00 quota met but I just did after ordering from the spring mini! The only bummer is there isnt a cattie for me to order my next 300.00 out of until July so I will have to order a ton of paper in order to stay a demo next quarter!! Cant wait for July!!

What she said! So many gorgeous sets that I had to restrict myself! And this from someone who didn't think there were any I HAD to have when I first saw the preview catalog online. IMO, this is a sneaky catalog, so if you don't love it first time around, wait a few days, check out the gallery and then - watch out check book, credit card etc : )
