Default New to the Brayer. What can I do with it?

Hi. I saw a quick demo of the brayer. Do I want one? Soft or hrd rubber? Long or short? Thanks! P.S. I really love to dry emboss.... will a brayer help enhance that? THANKS.

Check out the resources section to see what kind of projects you can do with a brayer.

I have the one that SU! offers. It's short with soft rubber.

Michelle not only gives demos on her blog as listed above, she teaches brayer workshops! She is amazing with the brayer! I bought a Speedball brayer knowing I wanted to use my brayer like Michelle does. Have you ever known a Michelle with the nickname of Mike? I wanna be like Mike! Michelle that is! hehe!
I can not come close to her talent, but when I attempt a Michelle technique, my cards turn out so much better than I ever thought they would!

I taught a brayer class today and another one tomorrow. We had so much fun and everyones cards turned out so nice. I have been playing with my brayer for awhile and I really love the look.

I think you should try it and see what you think.

I love my brayers. I use them for everything from techniques to applying pressure when glued. And everything in between. I have to hide it though, b/c the kids love to roll around with it, and think they can use it to cook...rolling pin...hum, there's another idea, jk. Good luck playing with yours.

Does anyone remember those Fiskars brayers that have patterns? They are huge wheel stamps, LOL. I have a bunch of those, but never really used them. Anyone have ideas for things to use those for?

You can lightly brayer over something you dry embossed with a cuttlebug folder to make the raised up areas colored, like I did on THIS card.

I really like my brayer. I don't often use it in classes, because some of the customers aren't comfortable with it. I really like that Zindorf blog - I will hopefully be able to incorporate some of those things into my workshops!
