Last Christmas, my husband sent the little card in to get Scrapbook Answers magazine subscription for me. It was around April that I realized that I still hadn't gotten the magazine. So, I had to ask him if he really sent it in (cause ya never know).... he did and didn't think too much about it because he never prepaid. Now, I remembered that I still hadn't gotten the subscription and went to their website and just found out they are no longer in business! Well, no kidding... Anyone else had problems? I wonder what they are going to do with the subscriptions that haven't expired.
I am so disappointed to read this. I just subscribed through my son's school for this magazine. I also subscribed and already paid for CK and PaperCrafts and I just got a letter saying that I can't get those magazines from them(even though they were listed) and to pick new magazines. I don't want any other magazines. I am so frustrated!

I work in the publishing industry, and I once heard that four out of five magazines won't make it. Sad, isn't it, but there's no so much competition for newsstand space, etc. that not everyone can make it.
We've stopped publishing a few magazines where I work, and we would generally "roll over" the subscribers to another magazine that's similar. However, if you don't want this magazine, you can call in and get a refund.
According to a statement I read from one of the editors, Scrapbook Answers was doing super in newsstand sales and subscriptions, and the advertisers were also going to the magazine. The problem was that SA didn't meet its projected profit margin, so even thought it was doing really, really well, the folks who invested in it had to make a bunch of hard decisions about a bunch of different mags they were backing, and SA was one of the ones that got cut. If the investors were paper crafters instead of paper pushers, SA would still be going strong imho!
My question is, will there be another magazine similar to SA that will come out via a different company. I loved the format and the disk and could not find another magazine out there to compare. So so sad.

I'm so sad here too, I just purchased the Nov issue yesterday, and decided it was time to subscribe, and found the same message at their website. I thought this magazine was amazing.
