Default Nesties Nightmare

I was using my circle scallop Nesties, so--I picked it up (the next to the smallest) used it, and returned it to the CD case that I have magnet strips in only to find my smallest circle gone!. My hubby and I tore the place apart, looking through the waste basket four times to no avail!

Now the question is, has anyone ever been able to replace a part from the company that you have lost? I suppose it is here somewhere but I don't have much hope finding it as it is about the size of a nickel.

Any help would be appreciated.

You might want to wait and give it time to show up first. I wouldn't take out trash right way. I lost my smallest Labels nestie, it bounced off the table and we looked and looked and finally found it 2 days later.

Oh no! I have had this happen with other items in my craft room, most of which eventually were found. But I'm messy so there is a lot of places for missing stuff to land!

If Spellbinders doesn't sell replacement pieces, maybe you could keep an eye out for someone unloading supplies on ebay or somewhere (but who would sell their Nesties?) . . .

Run a magnet across the carpet and various places. I have an extention magnet wand that I use a lot in finding straight pins.

Oh gosh, I know how upsetting that is to lose something - right in plain sight. You keep saying, where could it go? But don't give up. Keep looking. Here's a story:

I was trying to put my wedding band on my nightstand one night and missed. I heard it fall and hit the lower shelf of the table. I thought, I'm tired. I'll pick it up in the morning.

Morning came and it was GONE. I looked everyplace, took the bed apart, moved the table. It had literally disappeared into thin air. I was heartbroken.

A couple of weeks later, a friend showed up to return a book I had loaned her. She said, "I have something for you." It was my wedding band. Somehow, it had gotten between the pages of the book on my nightstand that I had loaned her.

I contacted Spellbinders with the same problem and was told they only sell them in complete sets. I hope you find yours (I finally did).

I lost one of my long rectangle scallop nestie and was heartbroken. It was missing for about 2 months. One day as I was cleaning off my stamping desk, there it was hidden under a tray where it had crawled when I wasn't looking. Give it a little time and it just might turn up.

Oh no, I do so hope that you find your Nestie! I have been missing my MM Chalk Eraser for I don't know how long now...I bought it, I used it, I used it lots more, and now I can't find it anywhere! I have the sneaking suspicion that it fell into some stuff that I was throwing out. I am about to order a new one, just keep hoping my other one will show up before I have to.

Losing stuff is so frustrating and I seem to do it all the time. I had a small clear stamp disappear right before my eyes and I finally gave up looking for it. Found it 2 months later stuck to the pages of a scrapbook that was on the table. You haven't lived until you lose one of those tiny 6 pt letters for the JustRite stamper!! They jump like fleas (and they're not much bigger) when you're trying to place them in the wood mount with the tweezers. Trying to find them on taupe carpet is horrible but I don't give up on these things.

Can you remember when you last used that small Nestie? That might help in finding it. Like others said, I wouldn't throw anything out either. I'm sure you'll find it in an unexpected place! Good luck.

Do you happen to have a cat or a child that could have picked it up and carried it away? I have a cat that is notorious for finding things and carring them off.

I bought a magnet that people used to use when playing bingo to pick up the chips, it is great for times like these. I bought it at JoAnn's in the sewing section. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your reassurance! I went through the trash bit by bit 5 times so I think I am save in sending that out. I will probably invest in a magnet but have lifted most of the items off the table so far. I will let you know when and I mean when I find it. THINK POSITIVE!!!

My kitties take off with my stamping sponges all the time. I find them everywhere! I am bad for not putting them back when I'm finished, and they like them because they are light, and they carry them in their mouths. They'll swat them for a while, then they get stuck somewhere, and I'll find it later.
Hope you find your Nestie!
