Default Need some opinions - Sympathy card

I need to make a sympathy card tonight...I've been stamping about a year and I have more stamp sets with images, than I do actual sentiments. I was thinking about making the card with my Heartfelt Thanks set, and using the "heartfelt" script on the front with the florals, leaving the inside blank so I could write in it.

Does that sound okay? Or should I stamp the front with the floral stamps and leave out the heartfelt part? It struck me as a very warm sentiment, and since I don't have anything that says "Thinking of you" or "Sympathy" I thought this would be okay. I would so much rather make the card than buy one, you know?

Thanks for your input!

I think that sounds fine. You could also leave off any sentiment on the front and just write on the inside, but I think heartfelt would be nice.

I also think "heartfelt" on the front would be appropriate. Do you have any black ribbon, or black with white polka dots? Depending on the layout, this could add a little touch without seeming too "cheerful." Or not.

the heartfelt stamp on the outside would be good...and any color would be good....you want to cheer the person up and let them know you are thinking of them. I lost both of my elderly parents this year, and I loved all the cards...especially ones that mentioned something that they remembered about my parents. I know you want it to be special, but they will be thrilled to get a note of any sort from you....what you have planned sounds nice!

I am sorry to be thanking you so late - I ended up making that card until 2am the night before the wake. I *did* use my Heartfelt Thanks set and I was pleased with the final result. Somehow it was almost therapeutic to make for such a lovely woman's memory.

Thanks again.
