Need some info on older SU set
I was given a set called Country Sampler from a girlfriend who purchased the set many years ago. I have looked thru every catty I have and cannot find this set anywhere. My catty's go back to 1998 (with a couple years missing in there).
A description of some of the stamps: Checker border, apple tree, small flower, small bird, a fence, a flower border, a country house, and a saying "Wishing you a day bright with sunshine...warm with love" It's an adorable set :) Does anyone know how many stamps were originally in this set? |
I looked through my oldest catty (97-98) and don't see it in there. You'll have to go older than that. I can't find it on ebay either.

My database says there were ten stamps and it retailed for 13.95

Is there a copyright date on the stickers on top of the stamps? It could've been from a mini catalog, or a quarterly hostess set. What color is the rubber of the stamp? I thought I had it, but mine's called "Country Greetings"...it was a quarterly hostess set from a long while ago.

Unfortunately there is no copyright information on the stickers. Looks like whomever mounted the set cut the stickers out and didn't include the Stampin Up copyright information.
The rubber is the standard brownish/orange color. The only indication that the set is even from Stampin Up is the sticker on the storage case still has the SU logo. Thanks Margaret for the information - now I will just cross my fingers that the 10 stamps I have are actually the 10 from the set ;) |
they didn't start the copyright infor until just recently 1999 or 2000 I think. They also didn't put how many sets were in the set until a few years ago.
