That is a great card -- I see TONS of underappreciated cards in the gallery. I think that it is just because so many cards are loaded each day. I love ALL of the Asian cards and your embossing on it is nice --

This is fun! Liked the two you linked a lot. Well, mine is sort of a sad tale but I would like to hear what folks might think I could've done differently. This was for the limited supply challenge that only allowed a sentiment stamp and the rest had to be embellishments. I'm not all that wonderful as a stamper but thought the colors were fun and it wasn't that bad but mine is the only card in the entire challenge gallery without a comment. LOL Not really...the mom of the little boy I made it for gave me some love about it last night but I just thought you all might have some ideas of how I could've done better.

Peg,
Did you go back the LSC thread and post it when you were done? I don't usually look for uploads in the challenges using the search, but by going through the thread instead. I always try to comment on a huge portion of the submissions I also played in. Sometimes, I just go through the threads to look at the different submissions and comment.

Yep, I posted in there...it was on a slow part of the weekend though. <shrug> No biggie...I thought it was sort of funny.

Thank you for all the comments to our new friends card! It is so hard to comment with so many cards in the gallery.

This card by andeki has been in my favourites for a while and I think it is totally under appreciated.

Ok -- I don't usually get bummed when a car doesn;t get comments, but I made this one for a co-worker to give to his wife for their annuversary. I really thought it was nice, but I guess not many other people did, which kind of made me wonder if I should make another card for him.

I just put my comment on the card but it is just beautiful! Don't give it another moment's thought unless it's to do it again for someone else!

Thanks everyone for the comments! They really mean a lot. I'm gonna try to pay it forward by listing a card out of my favorites which seems rather unappreciated. i thought it was really cute and I really thought the mat on the main image was original. here it is: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...481723&cat=fav

All those cards are great!! My poor little Elizabella only got one comment. Is she too gaudy? Is it a bad combination of BG papers? Are people sick of the Bellas? I know I made her boots way longer than I should have!

In going with the Pay it Forward theme (great idea!), here is a card from my favorites that I think is really pretty, but it doesn't have any comments:

i'll tell you something about me, and i've noticed this trend in the gallery (and comments) as a whole as well: i don't click on thumbnails if the picture is blurry. And if i do see the up-close version and it's blurry, i just go to the next card... i'm not the best photographer by ANY stretch of the imagination, nor do i have a fancy camera, but i have noticed that the presentation of the card is sometimes as important as the card itself. if it's lighted well, good angles, and good colours you can see all of the work that went into it, and that gets the comments. just a suggestion...

Thanks Jazzy...I'm new to digital pics and this stuff. Realized my pics were definitely not of the quality most others are. I'll work on it...read to try the macro setting so I'll try that next time. Appreciate your honest input!

You are all super talented. It gives me hope for my under appreciated card. I posted this as a thread, but I thought I'd post it here, since I had such fun looking at all your designs:
I once participated in a post where a Split Coast Stamper was trying to help her best friend celebrate a milestone birthday. We sent cards from all over, one for every year.
My (twin) sister is turning forty on April 20th (surprise - so am I!). I'm looking for 40 warm-hearted stampers who would be willing to send a card to celebrate the day. If you are, PM me and let me know and I'll send you her address.
Thanks in advance... Split Coast Stampers are the best! I posted this in another area and have 9 volunteers. Are there 31 more out there?
Thank you!
Mallory

The first is very cute. The second one, i'm betting the picture doesn't do it justice. It is really hard to see what it looks like. What I could see was cute!

Thanks to the OP for this thread--I've seen some great cards here!
I got a comment on an underappreciated card in my own gallery, went to return the favor, and found a gallery that seems underappreciated! Bianca_73 does beautiful work! Check her gallery out!

This is a great thread. I've been so bummed about the lack of comments on my cards, that I've made it my mission to focus on the cards in the gallery that aren't getting many comments. It's so nice to spread around some encouragement !

Your card is lovely, and I'm thinking that the main reason it wasn't receiving comments is simply the amount of cards in the gallery each day. I can remember when I first joined SCS and there were only a couple hundred or so cards each day, and we all received LOTS of comments. But now, when the numbers are so high (sometimes over 1,000) it's impossible to cover them all, and sometimes it's downright overwhelming. Don't be discouraged though - you're a talented stamper and I'm sure your cards are being noticed.

When I first started uploading cards, it did bother me that I wasn't getting a lot of comments on my cards, but then I started doing the challanges and that helped. Like someone else said, I think a good picture helps too. But I always make comments on cards that have barely any comments, because I know what it feels like to not have many comments. I try really hard not to take it personal, I always think things like, maybe no one had time to leave comments, etc.... kwim

I have noticed lately that my cards don't get the comments that they did when I first signed up with SCS. It has to be that there are just so many cards to look at and no one has time. I try not to let it bother me, but its the first thing I check to see if anyone noticed my cards!
