need "Snow Flurries" ideas

On clearance, I bought two packs of cards that have nine small windows cut into them. Snow flurries is perfect for this, but what has me stumped is what to do with the white card front itself. If I experiment, I know I'll ruin some, and I can't get any more of these. Any ideas or techniques would be appreciated.

Are they a smooth white cardstock?

Can you brayer your preferred ink over them to change the color?

I was gifted some cards with windows. I, too am afraid to mess them up!

Ooh, how fun! Take a peek at this card I did which 9 small windows would have been perfect for.

What about using the spritzing tool and applying some specles to the front to add texture and give the appearance of snow? You could just slip in a peice of paper to mask your windows. a nice BG stamp would also look cool

Can you do a fake one? Meaning, make a "sample" one out of your own cardstock that looks like the card (a mock up) and then figure out how to decorate the real ones using trial and error on the throw away one.

If they were mind, I would place a piece of paper inside the card and 'color' the front with sponging and stamping to darken it so the images stood out.
