I'd love to know how you finish the inside of your cards. Do you stamp a saying? Write something? Print something on your computers? I want it to look as nice as the front of the card so show me your ideas,
Thanks,
Claudia
I usually stamp a message inside most cards (except Thank Yous) like birthday and Christmas cards. I have Versatile Verses, which is a great set for all-purpose messages. If I don't have an appropriate stamp, I just write something. Just my preference, but I try to avoid using my computer for anything crafty unless absolutely necessary. People who do use their computers have unlimited options, though, and can make the insides of cards look very professional!
I think this is a great thred!! In the gallery I usually only see the outsides of the cards, and sometimes a matching envelope. I too would like to know if people are adding anything to the insides??? I think a soft stamp kinda underneath the verses in the inside would look very nice, kinda like a flower or something not very bust to distract you form the message.
I have several sets of message stamps but find I don't get as much use out of them as I would like. So I usually look through the catalogues and pick out a saying or quote and handwrite it myself. It makes it a little more personal.

Yes, yes, and yes. ;)
It totally depends on the card and who/what I am making it for, as well as how dark the cardstock base is.
Sometimes I stamp right on the cardstock, sometimes I add a white rectangle with a sentiment stamped on it and then distress the edges or stamp a coordinating image in a corner, sometimes I print a sentiment on the 'puter and stick that in there.
I usually try to stamp or computer generate a verse. I think it is nice if you stamp a little something (pic) on the inside that ties it to the outside or do a matching envie or both. Does that make sense?
Many methods depending on purpose, time, etc.
1) stamp just on the inside of the card
2) stamp on a coordinating piece of cardstock or scrapbook paper and put inside
3) sometimes I add another small image or design around the stamped saying
4) design the inside verse on my computer in a pretty font and print out on CS or scrapbook paper.
Holiday cards this year are mostly just stamped inside the card. Too little time to get that fancy!
I do most of what the other ladies do. When I computer the message, I usually trim the paper with deckle scissors for a nicer effect. I got a tip from a thread awhile ago that works well. I sometimes add a piece of decorative paper that matches the front(if I've used it) to the inside near the message. I've also used small stickers, such as butterflies, bees, etc inside.
I generally stamp a message (and personalize/handwrite a personal message too). I also either use a decorative and appropriate sticker for the top middle or stamp an appropriate image!

I try to make the inside of the card look nice. If it is darker cardstock, I'll use a corner punch on the top and bottom outside corner and slip a piece of white or lighter cardstock in, then stamp with an appropriate sentiment. I also try to stamp one of the accent stamps from the set somewhere - usually at the bottom of the white piece of cardstock. Sometimes I "watermark" an image on the opposite inside (back of front of card). I hope that made sense.

Almost all my cards are made as card fronts and adhered to either white or vanilla cardstock. Sometimes I put an additional layer of cardstock inside the card for added weight, but I always leave the insides of cards blank so it can be completed with a personalized greeting.
I always computer-generate my verses. I sell my cards and the people who buy them don't want to have to come up with the sentiment themselves. I do quite often use the stamp or a punch on the inside of the card - or sometimes I use appropriate clipart when printing the cards. I have a nice collection of "handwriting" fonts as well as other decorative fonts and try to use one that goes with the style of the card front.
On the cards I create and send out.........I do stamp on the inside......and try to coordinate something from the outside as well..........
example: I used snowmen for Christmas cards......so I might use some snowflakes on the inside as well........
then I do write a little something just personal as well......

I always stamp the inside of my card as well. i usually put a color of cardstock inside the card that is a nice compliment to the card. Then I put a saying (using one of my many, many stamps) inside. I also always stamp the bottom right-hand corner with a coordinating stamp from the SU set I used on the front of the card. Depending on the type of card I sometimes use a backround stamp on the inside.
I try to post the insides of my cards when I can. Here is a link to one:
It depends on the card, but I often stamp a verse or saying and some extra little graphic. Then I hand write the message. I like to make the inside of the card just as pretty as the outside!
