Default SPECIAL BIRTHDAY CARD FOR SPECIAL SISTER

I need help!! My sis and I (neither of us are spring chickens);) are best friends as well as sisters. Her birthday is coming up in the next couple of weeks and this will be the first time I'll be giving her a card made with my own two little hands. I have no idea of a nice stamp set to use....I'm new to stamping and keep on looking for stamps that say...'my sister...my friend' or something like that and really shows how much I love her. Any ideas???? Thanks for your suggestions or referrals to gallery cards that might inspire me.

Blossoms Abound on pg. 121 of the new catty is a great set. It's a floral set and it has the word "my friend" in it. That meets part of your criteria. Check out the gallery. I am sure your sister is going to love anything you give her since you made it yourself. Good luck and a Happy Birthday to your sister too.

Snap stamps are a good idea, I got mine at Joann's online. They can be put together to make any sentiment you want.

I would reccommend the 1/4 inch casual for most cardmaking . . .they seem the most versatile.

Seaside Sketches has two young girls holding hands that I just love. My sis did a special thank you card for me with that stamp. She gave one girl blond hair (me) and one red (her). It SO touched my heart for her to take the time to look like us as kids. We used to go the the lake every year for vacation and it brought all those memories back.

Thanks all!!! Very good suggestions....thanks for taking the time to offer your thoughts and ideas. I really appreciate it!! I don't have Seaside Sketches - that would be perfect.

I once saw a quote on a card that said

Can you believe some people go through life without a sister?

I thought that was great and am planning on using it for my sister some time!
