Default Need Ideas for Birthday Rocket Ship Invitation

Hello All!

I need to employ all your creative juices for one of my customers - I am a new SU demonstrator and one of my customers needs to make rocket ship birthday invitations for her 5 year old's birthday party in August. I don't have a lot of sets, and I don't see anything in the catalog that resembles a rocket or space ship.

I would appreciate any card patterns or ideas I could use to help her out. I know I can count on all of you because I have been so impressed with all your creativity

Thanks a million!

Okay-in the Toy Box set there is a space ship-how about a dark blue blackground, with the spaceship colored in and cut out and some wire trailing from behind. Attach with a dimensional, and the phrase can be

" __________________'s Party will be out of this world" You can add random dots of dazzling diamonds glitter all over the dark background for some sparkle.

You can even use the circle from the Shape of Things, or the little circle from Little Shapes and make them into an asteroid/fireball by coloring them in and using some glitter, a little wire or crimped paper in red/yellow/orange trailing from behind going on a dark background and it is an asteroid or meteor. It would stamped on another piece and popped up with a dimensional. If you want, use a big cirlce punch so you don't have to cut out circle, make it in yellow and then sponge on red and orange. If you use black or navy background it would be cool to dot on some specks of bleach for a starry effect.

How about a regular card where the top has been cut intoa traingle, so it looks like a rocket. Add some red/orange/yellow tissue paper from the bottom and it will look like a rocket. On the insode it can say,

"Blast off into fun for _________'s Birthday" or " ___________'s Birthday Blow-Out"

On the front just simple lines drawn and a sideways US _____________ (for kids name) painted vertically down the rocket.

If I think of anything else I'll add it on, but this may at least be a springboard. Good luck, let us know what you go with.

WOWSERS! Thanks for all the great ideas! I just ordered Little Shapes and The Shape of Things before they retire and thought I could use those somehow to make a rocket ship. I also learned how to do one of those moveable bookmark cards, so I thought I could do one that looked like a rocket ship was coming out the top when you pull the tab at the bottom.

I'll post the finished card when I get it done.

Thanks again - I am very, very grateful!!
