if you want to have a black binding:
1)using 2 pieces of paper, cover the frontand and back by glueing down. cut off corners and fold down the top, bottom, and sides. do this to the back too
2) cut down two other peices of paper so that they fit on the inside covers and glue them down

hope this helps
Beth

I used mod podge to apply the paper instead of double sided tape. I also cut the paper a tad bigger than the area I was covering, and cut the excess off with an exacto knife after it dried. I covered the inside as well, and painted the binding with thick paper paint so it wasn't black anymore. Have fun!

I secure ribbon to the front & back of the book before glueing the paoer down. You can use the ribbon to tie your book closed. Also glue ribbon on the inside back cover very close to the spine. These can be used as page markers.
