Default Need to get some tags made for MIL fast!

MIL is donating some skirts she made to a sale and wanted me to make tags. I got the Sew Fun set from TAC (from an Angel on SCS!), then my dad went into the hospital & the past 2 weeks are a blur. I didn't stamp! Now I need to get it done fast.

Here are some of Lisa Loiselle's (my TAC angel!) cute cards with this set.

She didn't give me a size, but it needs to have room for her to put the price & size on it. Anyone have some samples of something like this I could modify using the sewing set? Thanks!

Are you thinking circular, scalloped rectangular, rounded rectangular, dog-tag, or shipping rectangular flat tags? Or something that is more like a little note card, probably 2x2 or 3x3?

It was kind of hard for me to find examples not knowing the size of the focal image of the stamp set, and also because you could do just about anything with that stamp set and any one of the possible tag shapes. I did find this one very cute set of tag bookmarks that might be an example.

I don't know if this might be more showy than you were thinking. If it were me, I would seriously be thinking about very plain tags, possibly a matted circular tag with the sewing image stamped in the same colour ink as the mat. Or a rectangular tag made from DS CS with the lighter side of the tag left for your MIL to write on, and the darker side done in a style similar to the bookmarks I linked above.

I hope I was of some help. That is a very cute stamp set you will be working with! Love the pincushion skirt that mouse has on.

(Plain = uncomplicated. Little tags made with that stamp set would be far from plain!)

Hi Lori!

Thanks for the shameless plug. What I would do is to cut the tag to size and stamp images on the background in a pastel ink. The image would be there, but you could write on top of it. If you wanted to do small tags, you could use the thread, thimble and button images. The scissors might also work, depending on the height of your tag.

Please post your final product - I'll be watching this thread! Glad you're enjoying the set, btw!

Thank you ladies! I love both ideas (the bookmarks & Lisa's background idea). Mel, I have no idea what size to make the tags. She just needs to write on the price & size, so I'm thinking something in the 3x3 size range, maybe 4x4, but no definite shape. Thanks again!
