Default Need a color scheme

I am going to be making some birthday invitations for a girlfriend - the party is going to be a Mommy & Me Birthday party for herself (her 30th) and her son (his 3rd) - but we are stumped for a color combo. We've contemplated Pink & Blue - but feel that is too "ordinary" (for lack of a better word)

Any suggestions?????

Well, an SDiegoGal *has* to answer a CaliGal. I am an SU gal myself, so I am going to suggest SU colors.

Since it is a combined party for your friend and her son, I would go with richer colors like Rich Regals. You don't want primary colors (too kiddie) or pastels (too feminine). I think a "brighter" rich regals color combo would go nicely. How about something (taken right from the color coach) like Tempting Turquoise, Apricot Appeal with a touch of Certainly Celery and Blush Blossom. Or use the Celery as the main and the turquoise as the accent?

There are SO many color combos to choose from! Good luck with the invites and post them so we can see what you came up with.

You could add just about any color with choc chip or creamy caramel. If you have the new in colors, caribbean or cranberry would be nice.

I really like the combination of cranberry crisp, cameo coral and cool caribbean. I think it's a grown up version of pink and blue.

Rose red and brocade blue or night of navy would be a more sophisticated pink and blue also.

How about Rose Red, Green Galore and Only Orange? Something spunky and fun, but not super girly.

Sounds like fun!

When stumped about color combos I go to the color challenge. I would have never tried some colors together if it had not been for the challenge.
