My DH bought part of my Christmas right in front of me yesterday and I am dying to open it and play with it. He got me a cuttlebug at Micheals with the 50% coupon. Now I have to sit here and look at the box.....
Take it out and play with it when he is not home..then put it perfectly back in the box...repeat as necessary.
I second that motion! Take it out carefully and play then put it away as nicely as it was when you opened it. It's just cruel and unusual punishment for you to KNOW it's there and not be able to play with it!

Or, you could bring home something alluring in, say, a Victoria's Secret bag and leave it out where the DH will see it.
When he asks what it is, just smile coyly and say 'Oh that? That's part of the 'thank you' surprise I'm planning for after receiving that special gift you bought at Michael's the other day.
Then see how long it takes for him to figure out an early gift-giving occasion--your half-birthday, the anniversary of when y'all met, Canadian Thanksgiving. . . .

Whatever works I say!

Hey, if THanksgiving comes six weeks early in Canada, wouldn't that mean Christmas should come early in Canada too?
If you can't finagle a way to get to your goodies this month, then come Veteran's Day, I say rip that baby open and start to play.
When the DH comes home and says 'what are you doing? That's your *Christmas* present!' just give him your best butter-wouldn't-melt-in-your-mouth look and say
'Oh, I thought you meant *Canadian* Christmas!'
P.S. If going this route, would suggest you have DH's equally tempting present wrapped and ready to open that day too. . .
