Need advice on selling my stuff
I loaded a bunch of pictures in the gallery of some of the stuff that I am selling at my craft bazaar tomorrow (SO nervous!), and I am at a total loss as what I should price some of it. I don't want to overcharge, and I don't want to not do myself justice either. Can some of you tell me what you sell your stuff for? (You can peek at some of mine if you want to  )
I have the following that I will be selling: sets/4 tiles - thinking $15 composition notebook journals jr. legal pad notebooks beaded pens magnets clear glass ornaments candles - large pillar & small Any ideas would be great! THANK YOU! Scheli 8) |
prices
I am doing this at a craft fair this weekend as well. I'm selling tall pillar candles for $5 and short ones for $3. I am still undecided about whether the tiles should be $15 or $20. Many people have posted that they sell theirs for $15 though. If you do a search in forums for "craft fairs" you'll get several discussions about this.
Hope that helps! |
WOW, Scheli!
You have been one busy girl!! I want to come and see all your stuff!! Did you put pictures in the gallery of your pens and tiles? I didn't see those. HMMM, prices.........well, around here, I would expect to pay at least $5.00 for the candles, but with the packaging and tag, how about 6.95 or 7.50 for the big one, and 5.95 for the shorter one? As for the composition notebooks, I don't even have a clue....Maybe 5.95 apiece? Maybe I am way off. Let's see what everyone else says! You did awesome!!! :) Alicia |
I did a craft fair last weekend! I sold tiles for $15 set of 4 and they sold like hotcakes. I am still filing orders. I sold Composition books with a matching rsvp pen for $8. I brought an alphabet set with me and personalized them if the customer desired! Beaded pens for $3, Magnets (2X2 tiles) for $2.
I did not sell the other items. Best of luck! |
I did one last week selling just cards ($2 each or 3/$5),post-it covers $2 each and beaded bic pens (not RSVP) for $1.50.

Where?
Newbie wants to know how to find stuff in the gallery...I am interested in looking at what the other posters made for the craft bazaars.

To find other stuff people made for craft fairs....go to the gallery and search "craft fair" it shoud pull up several pages for you!

Ok, I've seen several references to rsvp pens. What are these and how do I get them?
|
RSVP pens are a brand name made by Pentel they are then decorated and look adoreable

A piece of advice about craft show prices--KEEP THEM SIMPLE. $5.95 is just too complicated--make it $6 or $5.50. Personally, I don't even like to do half-dollar amounts. It just makes for easier book-keeping for you if you keep your prices easy :D

Here's the link to Scheli's gallery if you want to look
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=10809 I'm off to look now. Haven't sold stuff, so can't help much with pricing. |
Okay, you ladies are driving me nuts here with all the inspiration! I've been dying to do a craft show now since I can't sell anything made with SU! stamps at the gallery store run by my school, but I don't have any time to get enough things together!
So...I've decided to start now to prepare for doing a show next fall! :P I figure I can do a little bit here and there, and stash items away in the plastic bins I have stacked in a corner of my room. I'm determined to finally make money at a craft show instead of failing to even break even! |
i looked at your stuff, and though i have no idea how to price - yoour stuff is GREAT! I would buy it and i am a stamper and could make it myself - and I'd STILL buy it. good luck - you'll have to let us know how you did...

Scheli - checked out your items...they are great! I too have been doing craft fairs but also have a hard time pricing...so I won't even get started there!!! Just wondering though...how many of each have you made? I have all these great ideas but never know how many of each is enough or too much...I've only done a few fairs so I really dont have a good gage...it seems that people have bought different things at each one...can't say anything has been an absolute best seller...my problem is that I need to get started further in advance...or just not sign up until I know I have a good stash...I have one coming up in a month and have little in the way of holiday items and have a week long trip to Disney thrown in there...can you tell I'm getting frustrated!! On top of that, I have not even begun my xmas cards!!! Any feedback on item amounts or balancing stamping with the rest of things that happen in life would be appreciated!!!! You have great items...how do you find the time??? :)
I wish you the best of luck...you'll do great!! 8) |
