Need advice on blender pens...

Has anyone ever used the Dove blender pen? I was browsing today and found that you can buy tip replacements and solution to refill the pen. Thought this might come in handy. I have used the SU! ones and like them, but mine are running dry... Sounds like the Dove might be a good alternative... Thanks!

I bought the Dove one years ago and never use it. I found the tip hard but maybe that's just me. I like the SU ones much better.

Hmmmmmmm.......I wonder if we could put the Dove solution in the SU blenders?????:confused:

I don't see any reason you couldn't use the Dove solution to re-wet the SU blender pens. I'm sure it's virtually the same solution, after all. My only question would be that at what point would you need a new nib anyway? I haven't tried, but I don't know that the Dove nibs would fit in the SU barrels. But sure, for an interim fix, using the SU pen dipped in the Dove solution would probably be fine. Just not too much, lol. My SIL tried this and got them way too wet...

Okay, I experimented and found you can easily pull out the nib and put it back in! Problem solved! The nibs on my current set of pens are good, so I just ordered the Dove solution!

The nib of the SU one or the Dove one???

I found the dove pens wear out and fray too much..haven't had the same poblem with my SU ones yet. I have refilled my SU ones with dove refill, though!

I have both SU and Dove. I'm heavy handed so I tend to flatten the tips on any blender pen. I like that the Dove tip is pointy - it enables me to get into smaller places. That said, I think the SU tips are overall more durable.

To re-wet my SU blenders I put about 1/4" of the Dove blender refill in a shot glass and put one end of the blender pen in to soak for a few hours, then flip it over and soak the other end. Works perfectly!
