Hello - newbie question for all you knowledgable ladies.
You know how in the Techniques booklet, they show you how to press on your classic ink pad lid to get a little pool of ink to watercolor with? I think that is so neat....but....I currently only own the classic spots. Is there a way to watercolor with the spots? Do I use a blender pen? Aquapainter? How?
Just rub your spots onto something plastic, such as a plastic plate, CD or the lid of a stamp box. This will be your palette to pick up the ink from. HTH!

Yup! I use old yogurt lids and just water (in a little cup) and a paint brush. I might invest in a aquapainter later, but the paint brush and water has been working for me!

Mama to 3 boys! 8yo, 6yo and 5yo!! Stop saying "I can't". You can. You just chose not to.
I save plastic lids to squish a little ink out on from my spots and make a palette of sorts with three or four colors that I want to color with. Works well with blender pens, paintbrush, or aquapainters.
Forgot to mention that when I'm done, I can leave the lid out for a long time, and still go back and use the ink later, or just rinse it off in a sink and dry the lid off, cause it rinses clean.
I wrap some saran wrap around a square of cardstock and then smoosh spots onto the wrap and watercolor with an aquapainter from there. I only have craft spots but they work wonderfully. I do have full size classic pads, but I always find myself reaching for the craft spots to color.
Also, if you have markers you can scribble onto the wrap.
Once you have finished I just wipe off the colors with a baby wipe and then use my "palette" over and over again. HTH.
