Default Nashville IN

I'm going to Nashville Indiana in a couple of weeks and plan to go to Papertryx. Are there any other shops I need to see. Any great places to eat??

Oh I love Nashville, IN. There is another stamp store there but not nearly as good as Papertryx. Good places to eat . . . oh yeah, plenty!

Here's a link for you to look over:

I like the Pine Room Tavern myself.

Story Inn! The food is fabulous! I think I blogged about it back in October. It's such a cool setting in an old general store, and the food was truly gourmet...everything was either grown or raised locally.

Yes, Papertrix is awesome! Just down the way from their shop is another stamp place...a different selection, but still worth a look. But the owners of Papertrix are so wonderful...I could talk shop with them all day!

Thanks...I heard there was another shop near Papertryx, do you know the name?? Is the Ferguson House a restaurant. We will be there a couple of days so will have a chance to try a couple of different places to eat. Are there other crafty shops we need to look for?

Lucky duck! I love that place and haven't stopped there in way, way too long. If you're a fan of Life is Good - they have a store there. That would be on my list right after Papertrix. There used to be a store that carried tons of Vera Bradley, too - but I heard they closed maybe? Anybody know? I've been on a few motorcycle rides through there, but we didn't stop so I'm out of the loop on that. I really need to take a day off and go soon!

The other stamp shop is called Wishful Thinking. They had a nice selection of crafty magazines and books, as well as art stamps.

I need to go back to Nashville this spring! Not meant to hijack this thread, but does anyone know if there are other craft shops that I missed? I'd like to find some needle art and/or fabric/yarn shops there.

For places to eat I would recommend the Nashville House Restaurant. It is home cooked food and so good.

Here is a link. Hopefully it works. http://www.browncountyinn.com/conten...use-restaurant

I believe there is a needle point shop but I cannot think of the name of it off the top of my head. The main strip in Nashville is not all that big in terms of distance so I am sure that someone in town could tell you where one is at.

You might also look into Bloomington, IN. It is only about 20 miles west of Nashville off of Highway 46 so it is a quick trip. It is a college town and seems to have quite a few odds and ends shop especially on the town square.

The last time I was there Wishful Thinking had very few stamps and was more altered and scrapping. Very different from the year before.

The Ferguson House is a great little shop that I just love. It's the only place I've bought something, well besides Papertryx, the last few times I've been there.

Oh you are so lucky! I was just thinking about 2 days ago I need to get back to Nashville! We stayed in The Artist Colony Inn and it was so cozy! The dining room is fantastic too. There is a little corner sandwich shop that has been there forever, The Hob Nob Cafe, It is good for lunch! Have a great time!

I think we need to host a SCS shoebox event weekend in Nashville, IN! I'm voting for Sherry to lead us in a big craft-in. All in favor say aye!

I'm in Bloomington and our LSS closed just last week. We are left with just the usuals, M's, J's and HL. Wishingful Thinking is heavy with altered art, you can check the website. Papertrix is very small, but packed with all kinds of yummy stuff. The owner is so helpful. A fun place to visit.

The closest one that I know of is in Greenwood, IN. It is about an 1 to 1 1/2 hours north of Nashville. You would take Highway 46 East to 65 North to the Southport Road Exit.
