Question What can I use to stamp on pictures??

Is there any kind of ink pad or brand I can use to do this? Will craft ink work?

Stazon Opaque (cotton white) is particularly good! ;-)

craft and brilliance won't set on slick surfaces. you can always try acrylic paint...

I've successfully used Stazon several times. I tried Craft, but for some reason it never really "dried" and I didn't necessarily want to heat up my picture with my heat gun. Stazon gives a nice crisp finish that dries wonderfully.

If you use a heat gun on a photograph you will cause the emulsion to bubble. Sometimes, if you are extremely carefull you can get away with it, but for the most part you end up ruining the photograph.

Too true! I wasn't thinking about the emulsion! I was thinking of the paper separating and having to get another print made! I think I'd be the "ruining the photograph" type rather than the "get away with it"! :-D

On the weekend, I was playing with a new Brillance Dew Drop ink that I just bought and stamping with it on vellum and on photo's. It worked very well on both. The color was Lightening Black. This color has quite a shine/sparkle to it and sometimes looks more like gold. The photo paper that I printed my photo on was HP Everyday semi-gloss. I thought it worked well on the paper. I let it dry for a while too. The only problem I had was finding a lighter spot on the photo where the ink would show. (I was stamping a sentiment on the photo.) The trick is not to smoosh the stamp down to hard and lift it straight up. Practice on an old photo first. Hope this helps.
