I have a question for TAC demo's though - am a bit confused by this so hopefully someone can explain. There are 2 sets in the new catalog that are almost exactly the same as 2 Stampendous sets. Is this not a copyright issue, or did TAC buy out Stampendous and I didn't know about it? Here are the 2 Stampendous ones:

I noticed that, too! In fact, I thought Keri's ladybug card was made with Stampendous stamps. I think it's kind of weird if the designer is allowed to sell nearly exact replicas to two different companies. That just doesn't sound right...but what do I know? Are the TAC sets cheaper than the Stampendous clear sets? I prefer real rubber if that's the case.

The prices are very competitive to the clear stamps. It depends on what size of stamps and how many in the set. Most of the TAC alphabets are $19.95. All of the sets that I had picked out for my first order was $7.95-$15.95 and one $19.95 set. And I had earned over $175 in FREE stamps from TAC so that gave me quite a few sets!

Default TAC Stamps

Thanks for starting this thread. Being a TAC demonstrator its nice to hear mostly positive feedback on the stamps. I also use Stazon to stamp the image on the less sticky side of the cushion before asssembling. Helps a great deal in identifying the stamps, especially the words.

Happy Stamping

Just a note, While we love to have referrals and such you as a demo for TAC or any other company may not solicit sales or promote your business here on SCS. I have removed lines of posts that were solicitational in nature. Please read the TOS http://forums.splitcoaststampers.com...ad.php?t=13655 and pay attention to the part about solicitation of sales. Thanks!

Rita - the Palettes also work great for indexing (and easier clean up!). You simply do the same as with the Staz On and then just use your heat tool to dry on the cling side. I really didn't think it would work but learned it from an Angel at Seminar and now it's the only way I index.

I just got my catalog today. Cool stuff!! Now to convince myself that I really do like & will really use cling mounted stamps. I wish I could be absolutely sure that I would use my stamps & then I would switch over entirely to cling mount for space saving, but that another discussion.

Shawna, I have never ordered or used TAC before, but I have the new catalog. Do new recruits get to choose from the alpha set or the paper set only? I noticed that D level hostesses get to choose from A, B, and C level as well as the D level; so I'm wondering if the recruiting incentive includes the A-C level or just the D level.

Jana - thks for the tip on using Palettes and Heat Gun - that would be less of a mess than Stazon.

And I've seen the posts on the new benefit for new recruits - oh to be one again....

thks

Today, less than a week after I emailed Jovi my order....it arrived!!! So for shipping TAC gets a huge THUMBS UP!!!!
Then I stamped...and that was the real test...would the images be clear? Would the line are be crisp and clean? So I started cutting out all the stamps so that I could stamp up some cards....
So first off, the images on the rubber sheets are closer than I thought they would be. Not too close but closer than I am used to...so it was a little nerve wracking making the first few cuts... For that TAC gets a 7 out of 10...if there was a little more room on the sheets it would be easier for novice stampers to not be so nervous...
So all trimming done and stamps placed back in their boxes, I decided before I went out and began stamping I was going to organize my sets into a binder. So what I did was stamp up an "index page" of like sets, and then placed it in an Avery clear pocket. I then took a Transparency and stuck all the stamps to that transparency and placed it behind the paper so that I could see at a glance all the stamps I had just purchased. That system will work out wonderfully!!!
Ok so now on to stamping......here is what I found, TAC stamps are able to stamp crisp and clean line art, words are done really well, and solids take ink perfectly! So I am THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE, I will be buying more TAC stamps in the NEAR future!!!
Here are the links to my first two cards.....And I hope to do up some more tomorrow!!!
Pink Hello Who doesn't love a cute Lady Bug????
Truly Blessed First Try And wouldn't you love to get a sunflower in the mail???

Ok so there is my first review of TAC....I look forward to hearing what you all think!
Kerri,
I will have to agree with you on the Stamp image being a little closer together. I sometime get a little edgy when cutting my stamps out.

I have been using and buying stamps from TAC for over 4 1/2 years now. But like I said I get a little edgy when cutting.

Some stamp set are better than other's.

Glad to hear that you are HAPPY with your TAC stamps!!!!!!!!!!!!

TAC stamps are NOT made from Clear Polymer!!!

They are made with Blue Rubber. Much like Stampin Up! stamps.
And uses a Clear Acrylic Block handle instead of a Wood Block.

TAC stamps come in a Sheet of Rubber Deeply Etched stamp images and come with Creative Cling foam,

Take the creative cling foam and peel off the paper from the sticky side of the foam and place it on your sheet of rubber, Then peel off the paper off the other side and start cutting your images out.

Some people are misformed about TAC stamps.
Because we use an Acylic Block instead of a wood block..

Can I be the fourth M? LOL! Just kidding!

I have been meaning to tell you...I love your 'location'. Mine was a mopping date with the kitchen floor when the dishwasher it plugged up...only the ENTIRE kitchen was flooded. I was completely oblivious. Wasn't until it started to drip down the heating duct and through our drop ceiling in the basement when my dh came up to find out what was going on...

Anyways...I have loved reading the feedback on the new catalogue and products. I know I love seeing new goodies...waiting for my SU! catty to land on my doorstep!

TAC demos with no email address?

Ok, I have a question for the TAC demos. I went on the website and asked for demos in my area (I included a 3 state radius). Not one of the referrals I got back had an email address (I only use email for transactions like this). I'm not asking for a website, just an email address (I emailed TAC to confirm).

What is with that?

Hey Polar Bear- They have quite a polar bear set in last year's catty...don't know if it's still around? Very realistic.

So what info DID they give you? Just a name? A phone number? I'm just curious - I've never gotten any referrals from them. I'm really surprised that you didn't get email addresses - that's how a lot of people prefer to communicate these days. Maybe if you asked for emails addresses they would provide you with them? Might be worth a try.

I got names and numbers. That's why I contacted TAC back to confirm - they said they had no email addresses on any of the 3 people....? I thought that was more than strange.

Ah, so maybe not all demos have their email address on file with TAC. That could explain it.

I actually never got an email back from TAC- I called and the nearest demo to me is 50 miles away- but no email.

If I am going to have to have a long distance demo, I think I'll work with someone from SCS who I know answers emails a lot. Now I just have to move so I have a current address for a catalog to be sent too- I can't wait to see it.
