i've been having trouble keeping my wheel stamps running straight and i was wondering if anyone has used the guide listed on the website in the new mini catalog - i don't have the catalog and there's no picture available on the internet. is it worth it or do i just need more practice?
I was sooo excited when the wheel guide came out. I'm also one who couldn't roll straight, so I never purchased any of the wheels. Someone had posted some tricks on how to roll (roll away from you, hold your finger on the top).... I tried them all and still couldn't roll straight.....
The wheel guide is also a stamp it in a straight line guide for those of us who can't stamp their alphabets stamps in a straight line.
It's a great tool... you can't go wrong and you'll find other uses too.

Excellent idea! I would have NEVER thought of that. Now I need to buy me some alphabets!!!
the best part about the guide is the no-slip "feet" that they have. It stays where you put it! Nothing more frustrating than chasing your ruler while trying to stamp something.

Well, that answers my question, I was going to ask if you could just use a ruler.
Totally worth it! While I don't use it much for the cards, I always had a terrible time getting my whees right the way across those 12 x 12 pages without going all over the place, so I'm really loving it for my scrapbooking! Go ahead - I think you'll love it!

I have had mine for awhile and hadn't used it until just last week. It is great! You can not only wheel in a straight line, but you can also use it to make a picture frame with a wheel, and you can miter the corners!

Do you think that a sturdy clear ruler with some rubber non-slip grips would serve the same purpose? Maybe even a couple of leftover rubber pieces after trimming stamps to mount?

When the question of getting/not getting the stampin' wheel guide came
up a few days ago someone else also asked your question & I'm pretty
sure the answer was yes, you could use a clear ruler with some kind of
rubber pieces (including scraps from mounting stamps) on the bottom
of the clear ruler. Good thinkin' outside the box!
I love my wheel guide. I have been using wheels for awhile and my projects just looked horrible and then SU came out with the wheel guide. I have had no problem with wheels again. If you dont have one I would recommend purchasing it from the new catalog.
